Compared with the machining method, thread forming excels through its higher repeat accuracy and greater strength of the threads. The FormMax solid carbide thread former by LMT Fette is made of a newly developed ultra-fine grain carbide and is tailored precisely to customers’ needs thanks to its optimized geometry. Thread quality and tool life are increased even further, as the coated tool surface is especially smooth. Furthermore, higher circumferential speeds increase the efficiency of thread forming. The tool features integrated coolant channels. The standard program covers the dimensions M4 to M12 and MF8 x 1 to MF14 x 1.5 and is available ex-stock at short notice.

LMT Fette rolling heads generate the thread or required form and then open automatically after rolling. Before the next thread can be rolled the head has to be put back into working position, means the head must be closed. The completely new designed closing clip, delivered as standard, already allows an flexible and user friendly layout of the process for closing the rolling head. Another significant optimization of the closing process can be realized with the new closing device (CCD) for EVOline. Adapted between rolling head and shank and connected with the coolant supply, closing of the rolling head can be transferred from process time to the non-productive time of the machine. Closing by coolant (or even compressed air) can be integrated in the machine program by a simple function.

With XChange from LMT Fette, with its patented interface, for the fi rst time it has been possible to combine the advantages of carbide and steel in a modular tap. Approximately 90 % of the taps used nowadays are still made from high-speed steel. This is because this cutting material is featuring the requested toughness for absorbing the torsional moment as well as the necessary load at the cutting edge when rewinding the tap. HSS, however, is having some disadvantages also, compared to solid-carbide taps: tool life and most importantly the feasible cutting speeds and cycle times are significantly lower. In our warehouse we have threaded outlets with NPT threads according to ASME B1.20.1 in stock. Threaded outlets with BSP / T threads according to ISO 7-1 and with BSP / P according to DIN ISO 228 are available with short delivery times. We only deliver goods of European origin. Standards and special requests Threaded outlets are available in two pressure levels (3,000 lbs and 6,000 lbs) and in all common materials. If required, we can also supply special materials. In the case of threaded outlets, a distinction is also made between reduced and full branches. Universal thread adapter for nearly all drums and other containers with opening of 48–75 mm in diameter, regardless of the respective thread. The thread adapter can be mounted quickly and easily with clamping screws and can be used for different container openings. With G2" connector thread for Bürkle drum screw connections and pumps with immersion tube diameter up to 32 mm. The container connectors make decanting even easier and safer with their more secure connection to barrels. The connectors secure the pump in the barrel, enable a vertical position change and allow the required air exchange.

The economic adjustment to small batch sizes, we meet with our turned parts for the direct assembly in plastics and die-cast products. Any thread forms such as, thread-tapping (DIN7500), thread cutting (DIN 7513-7516) or KTG for direct screw in plastics are realized cost-effectively. Advantage is the elimination of high tooling costs, since no counter-thread in the workpiece (eg threaded inserts, nuts, etc.) is required because the direct assembly takes place directly into the workpiece. Only a given tube is required in order to screw it directly. Our turned parts replace previously cold formed parts used (so-called multi-station presses) which require high output volumes in order to achieve a reasonable price parts.

High-strength for design and repair Coil threaded inserts or “coils” are an outstanding solution for achieving highstrength joints in parts made from low-strength materials (e.g. aluminium lightweight constructions). At the same time, high wear resistance is guaranteed. Furthermore, the inserts are ideally suited for the repair of damaged threads.
