Pears (Pyrus communis L.) represents a genus of plants from the family Rosaceae, also related to apple and quince. Because of its delicious fruits, it is cultivated for more than 4000 years and more than 1000 varieties are known up to now. Fresh fruits contain up to 20% of dry matter, 9-15% of sugars, organic acids, cellulose, a significant amount of tannin and pectin, as well as numerous minerals, vitamins, and micro-elements. In addition to consumption as a fresh product, the pear is used in the processing industry for juice, jams, compotes, and others. In our nursery, we are producing high-quality pear fruit trees for professional orchards, but also for the hobby market.

The Doyenné du Comice is known as the "queen of pears" by experts. This large pear in the shape of a belly will make a delicious dessert. This yellow green pear often presents a pink side and has an ivory flesh, very juicy, fondant with a unique perfume. Available from September to February.

Durondeau pears have a golden bronze skin with a unique granular and acidulous flesh, with a harsh flavor. It is perfect to crunch but also suitable for cooking, since its acidity confers highly developed perfumes. The Durondeau is especially appreciated by connoisseurs. Conférence is an excellent pear variety. Its bottle shape has a beautiful green and bronzed skin with a delicious soft juicy flesh. Its long shelf life made this pear a great export product. Available almost all year long.

Productinformation Peas are harvested throughout september and october in California, whereas in South Africa harvest time is around february and march. It is important to harvest them shortly before becoming fully ripe, because they would be too soft for further processing. Directly afterwards they get shockfrosted, cut in half – and dried as mottled pieces. The unfumigated fruits are better in terms of taste as the fumigated ones, as they have a degree of moisture up to eighteen percent. Nevertheless the unfumigated product is more expensive, mainly because more fresh fruits need to be applied for production. Moreover, the drying process takes longer, which lets them loose more weight. Origin The main pear-exporting countries are South Africa, Argentina and China.

Prickly pear vegetable oil, also known as prickly pear seed oil or prickly pear oil, is extracted from the seeds of the fruit of the Opuntia ficus-indica cactus. This essential oil is highly appreciated for its richness in essential fatty acids, vitamin E and antioxidants. The growing habit of Burlat is spreading and it has moderate vigour and a round canopy. When it starts yielding, the yields are regular and abundant. Blossoms mid-early. POLLINATORS: Stella, Van. FRUIT APPEARANCE: Heart-shaped fruit with burgundy dark red skin. The flesh is dark red, medium-hard, juicy, sweet in taste, and a pleasant aroma. FRUIT SIZE: Large. HARVEST: Early, end of May. Sweet cherry (Prunus avium L.) is a deciduous woody plant and belongs to the Rosaceae family and Prunoideae subfamily. The fruit is a monocarpic pome, with a spherical appearance and dark red, pink, or yellow color. The fruits are meaty, sweet-tasting, 2-3 pieces stacked together on stalks. Sweet cherry is a very important agricultural plant and its fruits are in high demand both for fresh consumption and for processing. Sweet cherry has the most vitamin C compared to other pome fruit. The fruit is also rich in zinc, folic acid, calcium, antioxidants, and flavonoids which play an important role in a healthy diet. Cherry also contains cellulose, which tightly regulates digestion.

Vigour of the tree is medium strong, and branches have a medium spreading growing habit. It is suitable for all types of tree forming and growing systems.
