This portable power supply for medical use is a nice example of co-creation. Our client came up with the idea to create a powerful battery for the medical world. It can be used on equipment trolleys that allow the medical personnel to get right up to the patients’ beds. The battery is so powerful that one charge is enough to power it for an entire shift. Naturally, this battery pack had to be properly protected and practical to use. That is where Enbi Plastics came in. From the very beginning, we were involved in product development: from the first sketches to a complete end product that helps medical professionals do their work. For the design, we took into account practical usability and safety: there are no sharp edges, the battery pack is splash proof and the design underwent drop tests. In addition, the choice for medical grade plastic means it is also easy to clean. The addition of the inserts – gilded contacts – required a lot of precision. These are melted in by us in-house.

GRP designs meet requirements for high mechanical stability and are also resistant to many chemicals and corrosion. They do not conduct electricity and are easy to assemble. We are always delighted to work on special projects for our customers. The task here was to design a special GRP crane platform with a stainless steel crane unit. This was developed and built by TC and is used to raise battery packs by approx. 1 m. The complete crane platform can be rolled manually to the respective place of use.

The RESISTOMAT® model 2320 is a universally applicable and easy to operate measurement device for low-ohmic resistances. The light and handy device in a stable IP54 plastic housing with membrane keypad is likewise suitable for use in service, laboratory or on the production floor. If need be, the temperature of samples can be measured and the sample resistance is subsequently compensated to fit the value at 20°C. The new IPC charger series is the latest innovation in the field of quick-charging. The universal chargers have integrated communication and support all popular communication protocols, such as CAN, I2C, SM, LIN, HDQ. Rentaload offers the rental of direct current load banks, allowing the reliability of a battery to be tested. Testing using load banks validates the operational performance and battery life of a system. It tests the inverter and generator under load conditions. Indeed, these tests, most often performed during preventive maintenance, can determine the condition of the inverter’s batteries and battery packs (or “strings”) and indicate whether individual cells are in good condition or approaching end of life and must be replaced. The load bank test will ensure that the backup system batteries will work together as expected when called upon to support a critical load.

Dual access copper connections are an innovative technique for the creation of single-sided FPCs (flexible printed circuits), which however also require a connection on the other side. Thanks to the dual access copper technique developed by Silga it is possible to directly connect the tracks of a single-sided FPC to a support, safely and effectively. The advantages? Among all the possibility of avoiding the use of nickel tabs for the connection; in fact, the dual access copper technique guarantees direct contact and consequently greater robustness by virtue of the fact that additional welding is not required (critical aspect of the robustness of the products, also linked to the stress generated by dimensional variations), which is instead necessary for nickel tab. Furthermore, in the case of connection to battery packs, based on customer needs in terms of materials used in the busbars and the type of welding
