This Spent Vanilla Powder is produced from Vanilla Pods that have previously been used in the production of Vanilla Extract. The Pods are dried to between 5 & 10% moisture and then ground to a powder of a particle size of between 3/400 micron. The resulting powder can be used in exactly the same way as our Premium Powder but it will of course only have a very mild Vanilla flavour. The Exhausted Vanilla seeds are seeds from pods which have been previously used in the production of Vanilla Extract. The Exhausted Pods are dried and sieved to separate the seeds and the seeds are then steam sterilised. These Exhausted Seeds will give a very mild vanilla flavour and are mainly used for texture and visual appearance. They are extensively used in the ice cream industry and by chocolatiers also being used in bakery, beverages and confectionery. Our Exhausted Vanilla Seeds are available packed in 250gr, 500gr & 1000gr Vacuum sealed Pouches or Fully Recyclable Resealable pouches.

The Pods are processed through a series of drying and grinding machines and finally sieved to keep a uniform powder consistency and quality.
