The benefits of induction technology in a capless sealing process. Successful sealing on both capless and non-screw-cap containers such as snap on caps is now possible with a pressure Sealer incorporating an Enercon Super Seal™ unit. Typically, pressure belt sealing is used to replace conduction sealing or to reduce the dwell-time needed in conduction sealing. Seals are either placed onto the capless containers or reside in the cap as inserted by the cap manufacturer. The capped container is then guided through the induction heating tunnel, where downward pressure is applied to the clip-on cap or foil by a non-metallic recirculating belt. This unique design automatically takes account of component variations and tolerances, such as bottle height variation, product overfill, line speed variation and bottle centres. Gland seal systems very important to main and auxiliary turbines. Turbine shafts must exit their casings in order to couple up or connect with the unit that the turbines drive (reduction gears, pumps, etc.) The main and auxiliary gland seal systems enable the turbine to be sealed where the shaft exits the casing; in effect keeping "air out and steam in." The purpose of gland seal system is to prevent the leakage of air from the atmosphere into turbine casings and prevent the escape of steam from turbine casings into the atmosphere. The gland sealing system provides low pressure steam to the turbine gland in the final sets of labyrinth packing. This assists the labyrinth packing in sealing the turbine to prevent the entrance of air into the turbine, which would reduce or destroy the vacuum in the associated condenser. Excess pressure (excess gland seal) is removed by the gland seal unloader. Since there are times when steam escapes from the seals, a gland exhaust system is provided.

The Star Vacuum Chamber Sealer The Star vacuum chamber range is used for vacuum sealing products where a high vacuum level is required. The product is placed in an unsealed bag inside the chamber. When the lid is closed the built in vacuum pump evacuates the chamber and seals the bag whilst in a vacuum. On completion of the sealing cycle atmospheric pressure is let back into the chamber and the lid opens automatically. Typical applications include food and electronics packing but special versions have been built for the chemical and medical sectors.
