Thickness measurement on plastic film samples requires automatic transport of the film strips through the measuring device, allowing for the flexibility of the material being measured. The desktop version of the VDM measuring station can be equipped not only with the pure measuring device, but also with PC-aided evaluation and graphic representation of the measurement results.

Many materials cannot be measured tactilely, therefore non-contact thickness measurements become necessary. The Cygnus 2+ metal thickness gauge has an endmounted rotatable display designed for rope access work, providing a safer environment when working at height. As with all Cygnus thickness measurement instruments, the Cygnus 2+ uses the multipleecho mode for measuring through thick coatings (up to 20 mm thick in Deep Coat mode). The adjustable slab pedestal is a support for making the foundations of a terrace raised. It is placed directly on a soft and stable ground without requiring fixing. The slab pedestal can be adjusted to the nearest 150 to 260 millimeter using the red screw. The head of the paving pedestal has 4 lugs which ensure that the slabs are held in place. Their place defines a regular spacing between each of them. The slab pedestal can accommodate a slabshaped coating whether it is tiling, ceramic or gratings. Use only a coating measuring 2 cm thick at least. To define the number of pedestals required, 4 pedestals are needed for 1 slab. Thus, the pedestals are position cladding tiles for terrace at each angle. If you use tiles of large dimensions, it is possible to place an additional stud in the center of it by cutting the dewclaws on the head.

The thicknessGAUGE O.EC is a compact inline measuring system in a stable O-frame design with an aluminum roller and an integrated control cabinet. The system is used for precise thickness measurements of plastic strips and coatings up to 3 mm material thickness and web widths up to max. 1250 mm. To obtain a cross profile of the material thickness, the sensor is traversed over the film. Keeping the sensor fixed at a particular position enables a thickness profile to be generated.
