The demand for IQF spinach and herbs has been increasing steadily over the past few years. The convenience of using the exact amount needed of ready-to-use, chopped leafy products which don’t need to be thawed, is appealing to both end-consumers as to restaurants, catering companies and ready-meals producers. Frozen spinach goes through a flash-freezing process that preserves it within hours after it leaves the soil, so it retains more of its vitamin C content than fresh spinach.

CAVAS International supplies IQF – individually quick frozen – fruits and vegetables as food ingredients. Our IQF processing yields simply frozen and naturally delicious whole fruits and vegetables, as well as smaller pieces for your ingredient needs. Frozen vegetables are not only cheaper and easier to prepare but also have a longer shelf life and can be purchased year-round. Because vegetables are usually frozen immediately after harvesting, they generally retain many of their nutrients. Known for their delicious fresh flavour, and crisp crunchy texture IQF Peppers can be used in a variety of applications to create delicious tasting products. They offer all the fresh flavour, bright colour, nutrients and vitamins of fresh peppers but with the convenience and longer shelf life of a frozen product. Different coloured peppers all come from the same plant. The colour depends on the time the pepper stays on the vine. Green peppers come first, they then turn into yellow, then orange and eventually red. Sourced from our expert growers in Serbia, Macedonia, Poland, Spain and Turkey our IQF Peppers are of the highest quality and grown to EU industry standards.

Freezing the peas so soon after being picked ensures that we retain all of the natural vitamins and minerals. This means that frozen peas can be picked at their peak ripeness, at a time when they have their highest nutritional value. Freezing the peas means they retain more vitamin C than fresh or ambient peas when they make their way onto your plate. However, by freezing the freshly picked peas, we are able to provide frozen green peas throughout the year. Whether you want a refreshing pea and watercress soup in the summer or a warming pea and ham soup in the winter, frozen peas don't go out of season. They can be easily stores in the freezer and called upon when needed. Unlike their fresh counterparts, frozen peas won't be wasted and thrown away.

During the season when we produce many diced onions, we also have minced onions available. Minced onions can also be used for many kinds of final products.

We provide spring onions, year-round. The root can be removed, which makes them easier to prepare.

At Snijpunt, we offer peeled shallots in addition to onions. This peeling process saves you a great deal of time, so that you can immediately begin preparing them yourself.

The Intens Tomato is not leaking after slicing it. This makes the variety very suitable for sndwiches for example.

Tomatoes A (47-57 mm.) and B (57-67 mm.) are available whole year around which we can supply fresh from the grower.

We can provide bean sprouts fresh from the grower to our clients and we like that. You can receive these with your order.

We receive rocket fresh from the grower every day. The Rocket is produced in a green house which improves the quality. We can also supply rocket packed in 1 kg. bags.

In addition to radishes with the tops removed, we also provide radishes with both the top and bottom removed for you.

If you are looking for a smaller-sized radish, we can provide ones under 30 mm.

Cleaned Vitapep are also provided at the request of our clients. They are great stuffed with goat cheese or cream cheese.

We make diced bell pepper especially for shashlik, meat skewers, and other dishes. The smallest size we produce is 20 x 20 mm. We make this product especially for clients who want a fresh product with a 20 x 20 mm. size.

30 x 30 mm. is the largest size of bell pepper cube that we produce. This product is quite popular among butchers’ shops, abattoirs, and other meat-processing businesses for the BBQ assortments that they produce.

Quartered bell pepper that, just as with the halved ones, is suitable for a variety of uses. The extra preparation by us makes the product better suited for slicing by our clients.

Halved bell pepper for further preparation into cubes, strips, shreds, or other possible forms. Suitable for vegetable preparation businesses, salad producers and food service suppliers that use fresh products.

The cauliflower florets are hand cut at Snijpunt for the best possible size. We have three different sizes in our selection.
