The R (Resistant) type offers crucial benefits in regards of corrosion and the handling of aggressive medias, compared to SMLD 300G, but remains fully compatible in size and function for all SMLD products and components. SCHÜTZE Control valve for pre- / purging air Our new external control valve combined all demands. It works pneumatically. It receives from a separate 3/2 way solenoid valve an air pulse of 5 - 6 bar. This pulse starts the atomizing air, which can be reduced by the assembled pressure regulator to the needed air pressure. Delayed starts the control air without pressure reduction (5 - 6 bar). The closing process takes place in reverse order.

Direct acting solenoid valve are operated directly with the force of the solenoid and due to the same even in 0 bar inlet pressure or 0 bar differential pressure between inlet and outlet port such valve can fully open or close. Generally, as here solenoid force is used, generally this force is counter with the pressure force and/or spring force to Open or Close the solenoid valve. Due the same it has a limitation on the combination of orifice and pressure rating it can provide for a given solenoid force. There are some exception designs which are called pressure balance solenoid valve design but apart from that most of the 3 way direct acting solenoid valve design has this limitation.

The FDABURML coupling module is a combination of an air valve and a fire damper, coupled with a single housing. This is an alternative to typeical fire valves. The main advantages of the FDABURML are better fire rating and a smaller size with more product configurations and application options. The main component of the coupling module is the CFDM fire damper. The fire damper is available in Ø 100, 125, 160, and 200 mm. The wing blade of the damper provides a very low resistance to the air flow. The fire damper can be ordered with one or two optional limit switches to feed back the actual blade position. The FDABURML coupling modules match the most popular versions of air supply or exhaust valves which can be replaced with one another, even with the coupling module installed in a partition or already in use. The entire coupling module is compact. As a result, the air valves with the mounting frames cannot exceed 50 mm in height.
