Unlike air coils, bobbin coils, as the name already suggests, have a ferromagnetic body or coil former made of different material. The advantage of solenoid bobbin coils: higher inductances can be generated. Whether complicated to manufacture or adapted to special requirements - thanks to in-house winding lines, KUK produces the right bobbin coil for you. The bobbin coils are partly manufactured on standard coil formers. However, we mainly wind onto customer-specific coil formers. We wind bobbin coils from enamelled copper wire or alternative conductor material and thus achieve optimum results in customer-specific applications. We will be happy to advise you on the optimum core material for your solenoid bobbin coil. The CSN® AirCoil is a special design based on the physical construction of a Rogowski Coil. Due to the ironfree design the coil does not have any saturation which allows to use only one CSN® AirCoil Module for both metering and protection arrays. Additionally the CSN® Aircoil shows linear transmission behaviour over a wide frequency range. A current range of hundred amperes up to several hundreds kiloamperes is easy to realize. CSN® AirCoil Modules are combinable and hence the output voltage level is adjustable to customer request. The D-frame solenoid LCL is characterized by a compact design, low power consumption and short switching times. A long service life is promoted by the precision steel tube housing and maintenance-free armature bearings. The frame solenoid can be installed in any position, with the force preferably being applied in the axial direction only. It is fastened via threaded holes on the side or on the face. As standard, the frame linear solenoid has a chemically nickel-plated armature and a plastic-molded solenoid coil and has protection class IP 40. Versions with bellows achieve protection class IP54. Other voltages are possible on request.
