Spiral conveyance is a well-proven method throughout the world when handling bulk materials in agriculture. In modern fattening establishments a rotating spiral transports the processed food inside the KURO spiral conveyor from the storage tank in to the feeding system. KURO’s wide range of spiral conveyors enables an optimal feeding of your feeding system by using various lengths and radii.

The twisterchain product line offers a wide range for circular movements and is available in four sizes. Modular in width and radius, therefore flexible in applications where rotary and spiral movements up to 360° and more with high loads and smooth operation are required. In order to be able to meet the individual requirements of our customers, we offer various types of spiral wound gaskets: For example, you can choose between standard versions with a smooth surface and various special models. All articles are based on a stainless steel strip and high-quality filling materials such as graphite and PTFE, which underlines the excellent quality standard. The spiral wound gaskets of billi are characterized by a constant elasticity during hot-cold cycles. Classical applications in the chemical industry include all types of gas lines, directional valves and pumps. Furthermore, spiral wound gaskets are the optimal solutions for pressure vessel openings in steam systems as well as low and high pressure in nuclear power plants. For the best possible functionality of spiral wound gaskets, the careful considered choice of model is of central importance: the versions with centering ring, for example, assures an ideal fit between the bolts.

SPIROL’s heavy duty & fatigue resistant Coiled Spring Pins are available in diameters ranging from 1.5mm (.062") up to 20mm (.750"). Standard materials include high carbon steel, 302/304 nickel (austenitic) stainless steel, and 420 chrome (martensitic) stainless steel. Diameters larger than 12mm (.500") are available in 6150 alloy steel. SPIROL invented the Coiled Spring Pin in 1948. Coiled Pins are available in light duty, standard duty and heavy duty to match the required strength and flexibility for each application. A pin too strong for the applied load will not flex and may damage the hole. A pin that is too flexible may fatigue prematurely within the assembly. The Coiled Pin with the optimal balance of strength, flexibility and diameter will result in the prolonged useful life of the assembly.

Generally, helical compression springs are made from circular spring-steel wires. The first and last windings are connected to the next one and usually ground with a diameter of 0.4 mm or more. Normally, the pitch (distance between the coils) and thus the spring characteristics are constant. Preformed silicone heaters are useful for diamters as small as 12 mm and up to 100 mm. Rounded silicone heaters are not possible with self-adhesive foil. Spiral Wrap Pre-Formed Silicone Rubber Heaters are suitable for tubes and flexible pipes and hoses with Ø 6,35 mm (1/4"). Spiral formed flex heaters can be used up to Ø 12 mm (the length of the stretchable silicone spiral wrap heater is reduced accordingly). The thickness of our spiral-wrapped silicone strip heaters is 2,2 mm. Also our gas and pump line heaters, most frequently used in the semi-conductor process, are shaped and pre-formed according to the object geometry to be heated. They are designed to regulate temperatures in order to prevent condensation in the line. Current applications here are Semi Conductors, Vacuum Chambers, Wafer Chucks, Valves, Exhaust & Pump Systems.

A very interesting aspect of our STS-spiral coils is the type with inverted fill material that is used, for instance, for polishing, descaling or removal of corrosion off rods or wires in a continuous operation. With an outside diameter of only 20 mm it is possible to reach an inner diameter of zero. Offering an enormous choice of dimensions and fill material qualities this brush has almost unlimited applications. The pioneering of this brush type has left its mark and shows in every detail of this brush. The diagram below shows how the STS coil is constructed: the fill material is fixed with a locking wire inside the backing tape. Available backing tapes We manufacture our STS-spiral brushes in eight different coil widths (WB) from 2,5 - 13,5 mm. As material we use mild steel, stainless steel (1.4301 or 1.4571) or brass. A further variation of the "Throw-Away" system is type 230. It consists of continuously wound DBS-spiral brushes fitted to a thin walled steel, stainless steel or non-ferrous metal tubular shaft. The face width corresponds to the required total brush legth (BLG). The complete "Throw-Away" brushes can be simply assembled onto the customer's existing shaft. This method avoids the costly return of the complete shafts when the brushes have to be replaced. Core systems The complete "Throw-away" brushes type 230 can be supplied with adaptors to reduce the core inside diameter (KD) i. e. brushes with or without collar with suitable arbor holes (AL) for the different core systems WK1 and WK2. Our roller brushes are supplied with a fill surface perfectly trimmed and/or ground for concentricity.
