They are designed with a large clearance in the standard product, which enables a secure operation even under high peripheral speeds. The bore of the inner ring has a tolerance according to E10. The shafts should have a tolerance between h6 and h9. Please contact us in case you require lower or more bearing tolerances. Loads igubal® rod end bearings take high forces in normal ambient temperatures, have excellent dampening properties and weigh only a fifth of the conventional metallic bearing housing. In particular cases the load carrying capacity of the rod end bearings should be checked in a practical trial especially with high constant loads and at higher temperatures. Coefficients of surface friction and speeds Rotary motions of the mounted shaft take place directly in the bearing ball made of iglidur® W300. The advantage of this plastic/steel plain bearing is that high speeds can be achieved in dry operation. Taking the radial loads into account, maximum surface speeds up to 0.5 m/s rotating can be attained. The maintenance-free igubal® rod end bearings casually permit linear and oscillating movements of the shaft. Delivery program igubal® rod end bearings are available in the dimensional series K and E for shaft diameters of 2 to 30 mm in all dimensions according to DIN ISO 12240, and of course respectively in the Form A - with male thread and Form B - with female thread The dimensional series K and partly E are moreover available in inch dimensions and – as special version – with a stainless steel sleeve in the spherical ball. Thereby an essentially higher tightening torque is possible than with the plastic spherical ball. The POLYPAC® - Balsele is a compact rod seal consisting of an elastomeric sealing element and an integrated fabric reinforced base. Due to the radial pre-load an excellent sealing performance will be achieved even at low pressures. The fabric reinforced base prevents the seal from extrusion.

Double Delta® combines the flexibility and response of O-Rings with the wear and friction characteristics of the Turcon® materials in. The double acting performance of the seal follows from the symmetrical cross section which allow the seal to respond to pressure in both directions. Initial contact pressure is provided by radial compression of the O-Ring. When the system pressure is increased the O-Ring transforms this into additional contact pressure, the contact pressure of the seal is thereby automatically adjusted so sealing is ensured under all service conditions.

POLYPAC® - Veepac is a set of fabric reinforced Chevron rings comprising of a support ring , sealing rings and a pressure energising ring . In the packing set the energising axial force is transferred between the individual packing rings so that each ring is pressed into positive contact with the rod surface. Additional to the standard material special material grades are available for a large variety of working conditions.

In heavy duty applications, leak free performance and high service life cannot be assured by a single sealing element; therefore, specially developed ”system seals” are arranged in series, building a ”tandem configuration”. Each sealing element in a system has its specific function and their interaction needs to be secured to get a redundant sealing system. The primary seal in Zurcon® material has an excellent wear and extrusion resistance under extreme working conditions. It allows a fine lubrication film passing this first barrier, ensuring the necessary lubrication of the secondary sealing element for long service life. The ”tandem arrangement” requires an outstanding back-pumping ability of the primary seal and the secondary seal, if a double acting scraper is installed.

The double acting Turcon® Glyd Ring® is a combination of a Turcon® based slipper seal and an energising O-Ring. It is produced with an interference fit which together with the squeeze of the O-Ring ensures a good sealing effect even at low pressure. At higher system pressures, the O-Ring is energised by the fluid, pushing the Turcon® Glyd Ring® against the sealing face with increased force.

The Zurcon® U-Cup has a very high sealing performance with lower friction and lower heat generation than standard U-Cups. The special shape of the trimmed lips allows for outstanding wear and extrusion resistance. Compatible with virtually all media, it also has a wide operating temperature range.

The Turcon® Glyd Ring® T is a double-acting O-Ring energized rod seal for dynamic applications, offering low friction with no stick-slip, minimal break out force and high wear resistance. The trapezoidal cross-section of the Turcon® Glyd Ring® T provides very good static leak-tightness and the angles of each lip are designed to provide improved leakage control and better resistance to extrusion.

A single-acting sealing element comprised of a U-shaped Turcon® ring and V-shaped metallic energizing finger spring. Suitable for reciprocating and light duty rotary movement. Compatible with most fluids and chemicals and efficient in a wide range of temperatures, it offers low friction with no stick-slip, minimal break out force and high wear resistance.

A single-acting rod seal energized by an elastomer O-Ring, the Zurcon® Rimseal provides high static and dynamic leak tightness. Acts as a suitable secondary element to ensure reliable sealing of thin oil films at low secondary pressures. Easy installation and high wear resistance.

This single-acting O-Ring energized rod seal is made of Turcon® and provides high static and dynamic sealing results. Can be installed together with other seals in a tandem configuration for advanced static and dynamic tightness. The Turcon® Stepseal® 2K offers high extrusion resistance, low friction with no stick-slip, minimal break out force and high wear resistance.

Turcon® Variseal® W2 is a single-acting rod seal consisting of a U-shaped jacket and a corrosion-resistant Slantcoil® spring. The advantage of the seal lies in its low friction and relatively constant preloading force over a large deformation range. Suitable for reciprocating and light duty rotary movement, it is often interchangeable with an O-Ring and Back-up Ring.
