The T3 system combines smooth operation, low noise, simple assembly, and economy. The side bands, which snap together, replace a conventional pin and bore connection and prevent relative movements between the joints giving extremely low wear. This means virtually no wear or abrasion (cleanroom). The t-band's geometry means that hardly any polygon effect is generated when the energy chain is placed. The t-band therefore rolls in a very smooth arc, giving extremely low vibration and noise. In order to reduce the manufacturing and installation costs, the t-band is not mounted individually, but – much like the E3 system – in an eight-link length. Due to its low mass, the t-band is suitable for applications with low fill weights and short strokes combined with high speeds and accelerations.

RK Rose+Krieger has optimised its RK Duoline profile linear unit for use in cleanrooms and now offers spindle and belt-driven RK Duoline Clean linear units, with or without vacuum suction, in the popular sizes 60 and 80. A total of eight different versions passed EN ISO 14644-1 testing to be awarded cleanroom certification in the global classifications 1 (RK Duoline Clean 60 SU with 0.5 m/s vacuum suction) to 5 (RK Duoline Clean 80 Z without 0.5 m/s vacuum suction). All the requisite cleanroom suitability tests were conducted at the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation (IPA) in Stuttgart. Painting in cleanrooms according to the DIN EN ISO 14644 standard Cleanroom technology Many processes for the application of technically functional coatings for increased resistance to scratching (hardcoat), UV stability, lotus effects, anti-fog or other thin-film applications place high demands on the implementation and function of the coating plant and its components. Thanks to a modular design, optimum plants are conceived in close cooperation with customers and users that minimise faulty coatings caused by particle inclusions and the resulting product scrap or rework expenditure. The plants are designed strictly in accordance with the DIN EN ISO 14644 the standard. In designing the filter stages we orientate ourselves to a particle size with a diameter of 0.5 µm. Built-in components such as conveying equipment, robotics, application technology etc. are adapted by careful selection of the appropriate task. A further criterion in the conception of the plants is fast and efficient cleaning and maintenance, in order to obtain long plant operation times with a constantly good yield. Traditional applications are the coating of diffusers or cover glasses for car headlights or polycarbonate glazing.
