The estate is located in Le Puy-Sainte-Réparade, locality « Clôs du Blanc », facing north and 2690 feet above sea level. Our vines grow on a variety of land, plains, valleys and hills, so they can fully express the potential of this unique soil. Our vineyard offers a large range of typically provençal vine types : Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, white Ugni and Vermentino. An ancient and very fine lot of Syrah overhangs the estate to the north-west : 0,65 acresplanted way back in 1947. This lot is historical in the vineyard as well as in Provence, since very few lots were planted with this type of vines before 1950. Brilliant idea of a brilliant mind ? Experiment of a passionate ? The question will remain unanswered. Two lots of Grenache and Syrah, planted on hillside more than 985 feet above sea level, give us a great vue on the Luberon hills, the medieval castle of Le Puy Sainte Réparade and the Sainte Victoire mountain.

Calvados 6 Years is golden in colour. The nose stands out with intense fruity aromas of apples and fresh fruits. On the palate, the attack is frank with floral, tonic, minty and spicy notes.

The dark mahogany colour and shine of Pommeau de Normandie are outstanding. The nose is elegant, smooth and flattering with candid notes of gingerbread and prune. The mouth is round and soft and releases cooked aromas with a complex and balanced finish. Best served cold, it holds its rank as an aperitif, or Norman cheeses or dessert.

Our organic apple juice is pressed from a blend of apple varieties with predominantly fruity flavors, mainly Petit Jaune, grown in our orchards in Ducy-Sainte-Marguerite, in the Bessin region of Normandy. This apple juice is produced and bottled on the estate. It is pasteurized for long-term preservation.

Our apple jellies are made by extracting juice from our organic apples, followed by a simple cooking process. The pectin naturally present in the fruits allows the product to gel. Agar-agar also enhances the action of the pectin. Our jellies are packaged in 310g jars.

La Flaguerie ice cider results from the concentration of apple must through cryogenics. The concentrated must ferments while retaining a high weight of residual sugar. Amber in colour, La Flaguerie ice cider is a concentrate of aromas of cooked apples supported by the tannin and natural acidity of the fruit.

Flaguerie Eau de vie Blanche is obtained from the same ciders used in the production of our calvados. Distilled in a column still, it is reduced and unaged to maintain the intensity and freshness of the apple aromas.

Flaguerie cider vinegar is the result of the acetic transformation of organic cider into vinegar. This natural vinegar is aged for several months in oak barrels before being bottled without filtration. A vinegar mother may form at the bottom of the bottle. Le 44 is a traditional Norman recipe. La Flaguerie 44 is obtained by the maceration of coffee grains, orange, and cloves in cider brandy for a minimum period of 44 days.

The Poiré is distinguishable by its clear and limpid colour. Its flavour is a balance of acidity, slight bitterness and sweetness brought by unfermented sugar. Its effervescence characterized by the finesse of its bubbles gives it an elegant and refined touch.

La Flaguerie Poirino results from the mixture of pear must and young calvados aged in oak barrels. Bright orange in colour, La Flaguerie Poirino develops a rich aromatic palette with finesse and elegance.

Calvados 20 Years is amber in colour, bright in the glass. The nose is intense and powerful with aromas of caramelised fruit and cooked apple. The mouth is consistent, strong aromas associated with woody and smoky notes, all with great length and finesse.

Calvados 10 Years is amber in colour with orange highlights. The nose is reminiscent of candid apple, with floral and spicy notes. On the palate - a perfect balance of a fruity attack with a long finish of caramelised apple, cinnamon, and dry fruit.

Circé is a fruity cider with a pleasantly sour taste. Its colour is golden and brilliant. The nose is frank and flattering. The attack on the palate is tangy, bathed in a fine effervescence. The finish is fresh and slightly sweet.

Calypso is a full-bodied cider, assertive and uncompromising. The nose is subtle and inviting. The colour is straw yellow. The mouth, a bit austere, reveals a structured cider light in sugar with a refreshing and saline finish.

cw terahertz spectroscopy based on photomixing offers the attractive feature of detecting both amplitude and phase of the terahertz wave. Determining the phase requires a modulation of the optical path length, or the terahertz frequency. The Phase Modulation Package offers a particularly fast and accurate technique to scan the terahertz phase, by using a symmetric setup with two fiber stretchers wound around piezo actuators. Users can thus retrieve full information on phase and amplitude of the terahertz wave - with single-Megahertz resolution!

TOPTICA is been able to push the frequency limits of frequency-domain spectrometers. Whilst one DFB laser at 1.5 µm offers a tuning range of approximately 600 GHz, a combination of three lasers covers the entire range from DC to 2.0 THz, or – using more elaborate combinations – even up to 2.7 THz. TOPTICA’s “Tuning Range Extension” thus provides access to frequencies that used to be beyond reach with commercial frequency-domain spectrometers.

TOPTICA’s TeraScan platforms are well-established “TopSeller” configurations for frequency-domain terahertz spectroscopy. The systems combine mature DFB diode lasers with state-of-the-art GaAs or InGaAs photomixers. The TeraScan 780 offers an outstanding bandwidth, and the TeraScan 1550 sets new benchmarks in terms of terahertz power and dynamic range. Both systems feature TOPTICA's proprietary “DLC smart” control electronics.

Each TeraBeam system comprises two distributed feedback (DFB) lasers with built-in optical isolators and fiber-optic beam combination. Available at 780 nm and 1.5 µm, the TeraBeam matches the excitation wavelengths of GaAs and InGaAs terahertz emitters, respectively. TOPTICA carefully selects the laser diodes with respect to their thermal tuning range. The DLC Smart controls the temperatures of both lasers with unmatched precision.

The TeraSpeed serves applications in quality control and process monitoring that require no spectral information, but call for terahertz intensity measurements at “extreme” speeds: the system is capable of detecting individual terahertz pulses at repetition rates as high as 100 MHz. An integrated data-processing unit converts the detected pulses to RMS values, enabling data streams at sampling rates up to 500 kHz – orders of magnitude faster than conventional terahertz systems. Bringing together several cutting-edge technologies, the TeraSpeed takes advantage of mature fiber laser technology, powerful photoconductive emitters and fast yet sensitive Schottky receivers.

Pulsed terahertz generation with leading-edge technology: InGaAs antennas provide about 30 µW power and a bandwidth of 6 THz. The emitter and detector modules, developed by Fraunhofer Heinrich-Hertz Institute (Berlin/Germany), feature a strip-line and a dipole antenna, respectively, and are packaged with a Silicon lens and SM/PM fiber. They make up the core component of TOPTICA’s TeraFlash pro and TeraFlash smart, but are available as individual modules too.

TOPTICA’s TeraFlash smart utilizes a proprietary scheme dubbed ECOPS ("electronically controlled optical sampling"). The system comprises two synchronized femtosecond lasers, eliminating the need for a mechanical delay. This results in extremely high measurement speeds: the TeraFlash smart acquires 1600 complete terahertz waveforms per second, enabling terahertz-based thickness gauging at unprecedented speed. An accessory to the TeraFlash pro, the Imaging Extension utilizes two precise linear stages to scan a sample through the focus of the terahertz beam. The translational movement is synchronized with the shaker of the TeraFlash pro, resulting in a high measurement speed of up to 16 pixel/sec. A “basic” setup is available for researchers who wish to use their own optical components, and a “complete” version includes parabolic mirrors for beam shaping and focusing.

The TeraFlash pro, a table-top time-domain terahertz platform, sets new standards in terms of dynamic range, bandwidth and measurement speed. Owing to an advanced laser design and progress in photoconductive antennas, the system now achieves a peak dynamic range of 95 dB, and a bandwidth of 6 THz, all within less than 20 s. The highly precise mechanical delay stage enables the acquisition of 60 traces/s @ 50 ps, or 95 traces/s @ 20 ps.

Having teamed up with some of the leading terahertz research institutes, TOPTICA is able to provide top-quality GaAs and InGaAs photomixers. Both material systems offer an excellent bandwidth and dynamic range. The modules come equipped with a Silicon lens and SM/PM fiber pigtail. The all-fiber design eliminates the need for time-consuming laser beam alignment, and enables an easy and flexible integration into any terahertz assembly.
