Cocoa beans turn brown as a result of the fermentation process. They are then selected and processed at low temperatures to preserve a high number of nutrients. They are used to produce cocoa butter, cocoa powder, and chocolate. They can also be eaten on their own or used as an addition to sweet desserts.
