The innovative features of our Edge Bander's glue pot also allows us to provide a PUR Edge Banding Service which is essential for projects that demand all the benefits that PUR edge banded panels provide. Why is PUR edge banding better? Without doubt, the PUR adhesives inherent, and superior bonding strength (when compared to EVA Glue) is completely unaffected by high temperature and provides a water tight, anti bacterial, bonded edge, that will not delaminate under any conditions. PUR glued, edge banded, panels provide a prolonged life to, otherwise susceptible, panels in extreme and demanding applications such as medical and hospital environments and, in particular, toilet cubicle panelling applications.

To further improve our Professional Edge Banding Service, we recently invested in a Homag S300 KDF1440. Its automatic glue flushing system, and the addition of a second, quick change, gluing unit, allows us to rapidly change glue colours to match the edging to give a near invisible, high quality glue line. This machine also features three automatic spray stations. The first applies a separating agent to help prevent glue adhering to the face of the board, the second, a lubricant to protect the face of gloss boards and the third, a cleaning agent to prevent a "shine line" when polished. Each feature of our new machine, along with skilled operators, and a robust quality control procedure, ensures each and every panel leaves our workshop with a perfectly edged finish.
