Anti Corrosion Wrapping Paper (or VCI Paper) as it is commonly referred to is a cost-effective solution for the protection of metals both ferrous and non-ferrous. CorShield® VPCI 146 is a premium vapor corrosion inhibitor paper from Cortec Corporation. The patented vapour phase corrosion inhibitor technology used in this construction has in recent years revolutionized the way metals are transported and stored throughout the supply chain. By using the 146 anti corrosion wrapping paper there is no need to keep various paper sizes for different parts. All that is required is that you wrap items in the VPCI Paper whilst folding the edges together with some adhesive tape or a heat sealing machine. VPCI molecules essentially ‘vaporize’ and form a very thin, mono layered protective films that does not affect the appearance or require removal before finishing or when used. Manufactured from 100% recycled paper content VPCI® 146 is fully recyclable and repulpable as standard.

VPCI 368 is a temporary coating that can provide corrosion protection in unsheltered or harsh, outdoor environmental conditions. Despite being A solvent based coating the 368 formula can easily be removed with an alkaline based cleaner such as VPCI 414 cleaner degreaser. Cortec VPCI 368 produces a ‘wax-like’ consistency and offers multi metal corrosion inhibitor protection, for both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. In addition it is possible to match some custom colours if a ‘same colour as the surface’ solution is required. This product meets the commercial equivalent to MIL-PRF-16173E (Classes 1 & 2). NATO 6850-66-132-5848, 6099 & NSN 8030-00-062-6950. Application Guidance for Cortec VPCI 368 Surface Preparation – ensure substrate is grease, oil, dirt and fingerprint free. Also ensure the surface is free from rust inhibitors except Cortec Corporations own compatible product.

VPCI 309 is a vapour phase corrosion inhibitor based VCI powder suitable for long term continuous corrosion protection of ferrous metals in ‘hard to reach’ areas, void spaces, restricted areas, cavities, and awkward inner spaces. Cortec VPCI 309 utilizes a highly effective ‘dry method’ to guard metals within an enclosed area. The VPCI® technology essentially evaporates and is absorbed onto the metal surfaces that are exposed within the surrounding area or space. Effective when dealing with interior cavities for plant equipment, heavy machinery, etc. VPCI 309-SF is available as a silica-free specification, available made to order.
