VPCI 309 is a vapour phase corrosion inhibitor based VCI powder suitable for long term continuous corrosion protection of ferrous metals in ‘hard to reach’ areas, void spaces, restricted areas, cavities, and awkward inner spaces. Cortec VPCI 309 utilizes a highly effective ‘dry method’ to guard metals within an enclosed area. The VPCI® technology essentially evaporates and is absorbed onto the metal surfaces that are exposed within the surrounding area or space. Effective when dealing with interior cavities for plant equipment, heavy machinery, etc. VPCI 309-SF is available as a silica-free specification, available made to order.

The coating on the paper is derived from a Soybean oil that consistently performs well when conducting the static half life test against traditional ESD Paper products that often use Alkyl Ammonium Chlorides, Ethoxylated Amines, Phosphated esters & non ionic based anti static coatings. The anti static coating used is also thermally stable up to temperatures of 200ºC, (392ºF) as well as being pH stable between 2 & 11 at temperatures in excess of 38ºC (100ºF) for days at a time.

Unlike other wax coated paper alternatives which can exacerbate existing environmental problems, VPCI 148 contains a bio based organic coating that is fully recyclable and repulpable. Like with all Cortec VpCI papers 148 is made from neutral and natural Kraft paper. A fluorochemical free product.
