Pre-soak the chickpeas for 4-6 hours, drain the water and rinse the beans well. Pour cold water again in a ratio of approximately 1: 4 (4 parts of water for 1 part of beans). After the water boils, cook on low heat for 50-60 minutes. Add salt to taste at the end of cooking. Without pre-soaking: wash the chickpeas, cover with water in a ratio of 1:5 (5 parts of water for 1 part of beans), cook on low heat for 2-2.5 hours. If the water evaporates, it must be topped up. Add salt to taste at the end of cooking.
