P21 is a compact asset/person tracking device that collects location information via GPS, calculates speed and direction details and transmits the data to predefined servers via GPRS connection. The device has specifically been designed to be used asset and person tracking applications where extended battery life is required. P21 provides high accuracy position using the sensitive GPS receiver. In indoor conditions where GPS signal is weak P21 uses GSM network to determine device location using triangulation technique. The device can be used in real time mode or sleep-wake up modes using simple @SET commands. In sleep-wake up mode P21 may send periodic location messages from 1 minute to 24 hours. This way the device may operate up to 3 months with single charge. P21 is compatible with high precision digital temperature sensor. This makes P21 an ideal choice for cold chain goods monitoring applications.

The fuel temperature sensor is one factor that tells the ECU how to adjust the amount of fuel injected. When the fuel is warm, it's less dense and burns more readily so the ecu injects more fuel to get the same mass of fuel and retards the timing. When the fuel is cold, it's more dense so the ecu injects less fuel and advances the timing. Hot fuel has the same effect as higher cetane fuel at a lower temperature because it burns more readily. Timing and injection quantity is also based on many other factors, fuel temperature is just one of them.
