Indeed, when the front plate exerts an offcentered pressure before the end stroke of the cylinder or if the guide undergoes an external force offcentered with respect to the axis of the guide, the generated twist can cause a matting of the housing of the rod in the plate if it is aluminum, especially if the penetration of the rod is low (as on the Classic series).
