Although single row radial bearings are designed primarily to support a radial load, they perform relatively well under thrust or combined radial and thrust load with the added advantage of low noise, vibration, and drag torque. The internal architecture and cage selection can be designed to meet the specific needs of the application, from high speed to high load. Thin section deep groove ball bearings have a small radial cross-sectional thickness that are used when compactness is required. We manufacture deep groove ball bearings with a minimum bore diameter of 3 mm to a maximum outer diameter of 47 mm.

Self-aligning ball bearings have two rows of balls, a common sphered raceway in the outer ring and two deep uninterrupted raceway grooves in the inner ring. This type of ball bearing is recommended when alignment of the shaft and housing is difficult, and the shaft may flex. Unlike a single row or double row ball bearing, the self-aligning bearing’s performance will not be affected by misalignment. Therefore, they are particularly suitable for application where misalignment can arise from errors in mounting or shaft deflection inherent in the application. These bearings are made with seal or without seal.

Double-row angular contact ball bearings are used in applications when heavy radial, thrust or combined loads demand axial rigidity of the shaft are required. This is similar to a duplex pair of single- row bearings due to its two rows of balls and angular-contact construction, which provide greater axial and radial rigidity than can be obtained by using a single-row radial bearing. Dimensional and running tolerances correspond to tolerance class PN acc. to DIN 620. The radial internal clearance corresponds to the clearance CN acc. to DIN 6204. These tolerance classes are standard and well suited for most applications.

Our KIS track rollers are available as self-retaining, single or double row ball bearings with particularly strong outer rings. In addition to high radial forces, they also absorb axial forces in both directions. Track rollers are characterised by their robust construction featuring particularly thick-walled outer rings with a crowned outer surface (alternatively with a cylindrical outer surface or outer profile). They are designed to carry high radial loads and also tolerate axial loads that can arise due to minor misalignments, skewing or short-term start-up shocks. The assembly is constructed with a fixed inner ring mounted on axles. In this case, the track rollers are not installed in a housing bore, but are supported on a flat raceway (mating track). To ensure a reliable seal, the track rollers are fitted with a lip seal or cover discs on both sides. This prevents the ingress of dirt, dust and other contaminants while maintaining lubrication inside the bearing.

We design our angular contact ball bearings especially for bearing arrangements that have to support combined loads such as radial and axial forces acting simultaneously. As the name suggests, in angular contact ball bearings the forces are transmitted from one raceway to the other at a specific contact angle, oblique to the radial plane. These track rollers offer the same features of a single row track roller with the added benefit of heavy radial, thrust or combined loads. Yoke-type track rollers are single or double-row units mounted on shafts or studs. Similar to the single row track roller, we can customize the running surface to meet the specific requirements of the applications. Cam rollers are similar in their construction to single and double-row support rollers, except that the raceway is formed by a heavy-section roller stud with a fixing thread.
