CMOS sensors are used within commercial grade Digital SLR cameras as a replacement for the more expensive CCD. These CMOS sensors are extremely sensitive to IR light, which can lead to discolouration. IR cut filters are used to block the IR light, meaning that photographs are taken with life-like colours. Colour Glass Filters can be used in variations of Bandpass, Long pass and Short pass, depending on which wavelengths of light need to be blocked resulting in different key areas being more easily distinguished. Knight Optical offers Colour Glass and IR cut filters for such an application, with a wide range of band widths and cut on/off wavelengths. Biological exhaust air cleaning is used whenever exhaust air has to be cleaned from volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and odours. Biofilters play a major role in this process. The polluted exhaust air is passed through a filter medium where the VOCs and odours are separated. Normally, this medium is an organic carrier material where microorganisms are grown on. They convert the VOCs and odours into noncritical components by means of their metabolism. Especially regarding the removal of odorous substances, biofilters are a very efficient and comparatively inexpensive way of biofiltration with an efficiency of up to 99 %. BIOCATbiofilters have a high degree of efficiency in a wide range of applications, even for exhaust air components that are difficult to dissolve in water.

The CS4398 is a complete stereo 24 bit/192 kHz digital-to-analog system. This D/A system includes digital deemphasis, half dB step size volume control, ATAPI channel mixing, selectable fast and slow digital interpolation filters followed by an oversampled multi-bit delta-sigma modulator that includes mismatch shaping technology that eliminates distortion due to capacitor mismatch. Following this stage is a multi-element switched capacitor stage and low pass filter with differential analog outputs. The CS4398 also has an proprietary DSD processor that allows for volume control and 50 kHz on-chip filtering without an intermediate decimation stage. It also offers an optional path for direct DSD conversion by directly using the multi-element switched capacitor array. The CS4398 accepts PCM data at sample rates from 32 kHz to 216 kHz, DSD audio data, has selectable digital filters, consumes little power, and delivers excellent sound quality.

An engine oil pressure switch is used to maintain power to the engine, and the vehicle, once the engine has started. When the engine is cranking, power is being supplied through the starter circuits. However, once the engine is running, and the oil pressure is up, power is routed through the oil pressure switch and sensor unit. This is done to ensure the engine is not run without oil. If the sensor does not read the right pressure, the switch will not close, and the vehicle will not stay running. The pressure switch is generally place or fitted around the Engine Oil filter as the oil line has to pass through the filter to be filtered during its continuos cycle of use.

Licorice root enters crushing machines after cleaning and drying by modern machines. The crushed roots are transferred to all-steel extractors and boiled in a specific process by steam to extract the root.
