Software ProCable - CAQ-System customized for cable producer requirements With the CAQ-system ProCable test plans can be developped, orders administrated and the recieved test results can be archived with corresponding additional information into the data bases. ProCable generates a list of results from the measurements according to the applied test plans. Afterwards the test results are deposited structured and accurately. ProCable adapt achieve test results with the test plans. Possible exceeding of tolerance limits will be told on the user at once. The user can be repeating the measurement or will be forced to comment the exceptional circumstances.

Often, special requirements cannot be standardized. For this reason, we configure our sensors to your individual requirements. Modifications of the offset distance or measuring range, cable and connector variants and modifications to the housing and optical system are often required.

We face this challenge and produce fiber optic cables with single-mode, multimode or NZDS fibers in our fiber optic technology profit center in Sankt Barbara im Mürztal – OT Wartberg, and assemble the cables with the various connector types to meet the highest demands. The range of types covers all usual ground cable constructions in jelly filled and dry-filled design as well as metallic and metal-free (PA) rodent protection. Beyond that also metal-free overhead cables (ADSS) in self-supporting design for spans up to 700m and for 20kV or high voltage systems will be manufactured. The linear movement of a flexible steel cable up to 2m long is converted into a rotary movement by a measuring drum. A return spring prevents the steel cable from sagging. The measuring drum is connected to a pulse generator, which generates two pulses every 0.1 mm offset by 90°. The measuring drum winds the steel cable in a single layer so that the resolution is independent of the position. The rope entry is protected against dirt by brushes.

The linear movement of a 2000 mm long, flexible high strength steel measuring cable is converted into a rotational movement by a measuring drum. The measuring drum, which has a circumference of 102.4 mm, is coupled to the shaft of the encoder. A change of displacement in the measuring cable then corresponds to a change in angle on the shaft of the angle encoder. The restoring force of a spiral spring holds the measuring cable tight and prevents errors due to slackness. The cable is wound with adjacent turns in a reproducible manner on the drum due to the movement of the drum on a spindle.
