Our wood substrates are made exclusively from selected, untreated beech from european forests. This guarantees the best quality of natural raw materials. The beechwood trunks used are processed using a special procedure. The chopped wood is fractionated into various sizes, dedusted, cleaned and dried.

Alder wood produces a neutral, balanced smoke that has long been a sportsman’s favorite for smoking salmon, trout, seafood and really any type of other meats. Because of the neutral characteristics of alder, it is works wonderfully when blended with other wood species, especially fruit wood. When using alder with meats such as steak, ribs and briskets, try mixing alder with our fruit wood species like apple and cherry for a delectable taste you’re sure to love. All of our wood chips are thoroughly dried and has all bitter tree bark removed to ensure you’re getting maximum smoke of 100% all-natural wood. The wood chips are precision ground for an even, consistent burn. All bags are 1.75 LB bags (794 g), 242 cu.in., 3.96 L in size.

Description of Pine Wood Chips: Pine tree substrate materials have traditionally been produced from freshly harvested loblolly pine (Pinus taeda) trees that were chipped and then further processed in a hammer mill through screen sizes ranging from 3/16- to 3/8-inch. The resulting end product contained a mix of particle sizes and shapes, mostly being a fibrous-like material. It was the mix of fibrous particle sizes that gave the material water-holding properties similar to some peat and pine bark substrates. Our Wood chips are from Hardwood.

Designed for quick and accurate measurement of moisture and temperature of sawdust, wood chips, wood chips and other bulk waste from the wood industry. The moisture tester is based on the dielcometric measurement method, which ensures high sensitivity and accuracy of the device, and the long probe length allows you to make measurements at different depths of the material. Features and benefits of the METRINCO M151SD wood sawdust and wood chip moisture tester: The device does not require pressing of the sample, which significantly reduces the measurement time and does not lead to wear of rubbing parts, such as the lid and the measuring chamber cup. The dielcometric measurement method provides an error of no more than 1% moisture content. The active zone of the sensor is located at the end of the probe, which means that it is possible to determine the moisture content and temperature of bulk wood waste at a specific depth.
