Radial fans are an indispensable part of most operational processes in ventilation systems. In cases where extremely large volumes need to be moved or transported, or where a critical impeller mass is exceeded, radial fans with bearings at both sides are an ideal choice. This type of equipment is available in single-flow and double-flow versions. However, the robust design of Scheuch COMPONENTS radial fans makes it possible to achieve large volumetric flows even with unilateral bearings (i.e. single-flow systems). Bearings can be provided on both sides if requested by the customer, and this configuration is implemented as standard above a critical impeller mass. With their flow-optimized suction pockets, double-flow radial fans make it possible to create efficient designs for transporting and diverting conveyed media – even when space is tight. Altogether, there are various factors and criteria that make double-flow radial fans a favourable option.

Scheuch customers expect the very best and that is why the SwingOut and PullOut radial fan models have a key advantage over other industrial-grade fans: The impeller can be cleaned in a very short amount of time. As the motor and impeller are both installed on a single door, the entire subassembly can be swung out to the rear. The impeller is therefore easy to clean and can also be removed or replaced quickly if necessary. Even larger fans with an impeller weight of several hundred pounds and an impeller diameter up to 1,250 mm are available. The PullOut model is available for direct-driven, belt-driven and coupling-driven fans. With this type of fan, the impeller is removed from the housing together with the motor bracket and the motor itself, making it again quick and easy to clean.

The radial fan is the core component and driving force of any ventilation system. In this case, the drive takes the form of an elastic coupling acting on the intermediate shaft – without the kind of upstream transmission that would be found on a belt drive. In situations involving larger dimensions, the fan components can be embedded into a concrete foundation instead of a steel bracket. Radial fans with coupling drive can be used in diverse applications across a range of industries and sectors. This type of fan is particularly well suited to situations involving high motor power. The coupling (generally a claw coupling with an elastic insert) can absorb shocks and torsional vibrations, thus protecting the material. Furthermore, an offset (angular, parallel or axial offset) between the motor shaft and intermediate shaft can be compensated to a certain extent, which means that the motor is relatively easy to dismount.

Radial scanning machine is used to separate low density substances from high density grain products such as wheat, barley, corn and similar. Separates foreign substances such as dust, sand and small seeds in wheat. Wheat entering the machine from the wheat inlet is filled into the vibro feeder and distributed smoothly across the width of the air duct. Here, in the horizontal aspiration channel, the product is separated from low density materials through its double adjustable wall. The fan of the radial scanning machine is mounted on the main body through bearings. The outer body is made of sheet metal, and the foot part and the outlet nozzle located on the foot part are mounted on the body.

In the fluid dynamics laboratory of our Wasserburg competence centre, we design new fan wheels and turbines and optimise existing systems for performance, energy efficiency and noise emissions. We also develop complete systems of wheels with power units. Our range of tests includes suction operation, pressure operation and also unpressurised measurements. Revolutions up to 40,000 r/min and diameters of up to 250mm are possible. In our prototype department, we are able to simulate or modify the environmental circumstances of the fan wheels or turbines, thus achieving optimal operational conditions. Furthermore, we carry out mould-flow analysis, use ANSYS from external partners for the flow simulation and establish the fault probability and fault effect with FPFEs. The TVF 1200 heavy duty radial fan is designed to deliver outstanding air circulation over considerably long distances. The fans can convey large volumes of air up to a maximum 54,000 m³/h. It is geared to handle exceptionally high air pressures of 45,000 m³/h (2,150 Pa). The fans are equipped with the ability to discharge air with impressive velocities of 38 m/s (136.8 km/h). They can be set at unlimited variations in configuration, assisted by a frequency controller. The TVF 1200 can withstand air temperatures of 80°C and can operate efficiently at ambient temperatures of -20 °C to 40 °C. They require voltage input of 400 V at 50 Hz (65 A) and maximum power supply of 37 kW.

The B 500 Humidifier radio is a blend of wireless humidifying, cleaning and filtering. The wireless sensor measures up to a distance of 30m delivering highly accurate and stable measuring results. For lower utilisation times or overspray quantities RES dry spray booth For lower utilisation times or smaller overspray quantities, spray systems with dry separation offer a meaningful alternative to water-sprinkled systems. The Rippert modular spraying system type RES enables individual adaptation to the respective case of need. The filter system of the RES dry spray wall consists of individual square cardboard boxes. A sheet metal frame serves as a support structure for the filter box. In order to save costs, there is a possibility to vary the individual filter boxes in the spray booth, without exchanging all of the filter elements. Function The overspray is caught by the exhaust air stream and fed to the filter. The solids are filtered out here, while the cleaned exhaust air is blown out into the open air by the fan. Versions The basic version consists of a wall with a two-fold filter stage. Paper filter boxes form the first filter stage. A glass fibre fine filter arranged directly behind it represents the second filter stage. The attached radial fan is equipped with spark protection in the suction nozzle as well as an explosion-proof motor. The spray booth can additionally be equipped with removable or fixed side and ceiling panels. The RES dry spray booth is available in galvanised sheet metal or in stainless steel. Advantages Cleaning / maintenance The spray wall is designed such that the filter elements can be exchanged with little effort in a very short time. Once it is saturated, the filter box is removed from the sheet metal frame and disposed of in an environmentally-friendly manner.

These are ideally suited for extraction from one or more sources of dust and are predominantly used in small and medium-sized enterprises for air quantities of up to 6,000 m³/h. ES 200P/280P deduster with jet cleaning The ES 200P deduster is designed for an air quantity of max. 3,000 m³/h and has one dust collection container; the ES 280P is designed for max. 6,000 m³/h and has two dust collection containers. The ES deduster is made of galvanised sheet steel and is a universal device for the extraction and separation of various types of swarf and dust. The raw air inlet nozzle has a non-return valve arranged upstream of the device. The filter works according to the downdraft principle, i.e. raw air is fed to the filter cartridges from above. This construction results in extremely efficient pre-filtration and preserves the filter medium. The filter cartridges are cleaned by means of compressed air impulse. Swarf and dust is collected in the mobile containers arranged underneath. The fan, which is arranged on the clean air side, is equipped with a high-performance impeller. The clean air outlet opening has a sound-absorbing lining. The electrical controller is directly attached. Equipment Optional: 280P / PAS deduster MS multi-extractor with double-walled filter sack The built-in radial fan sucks off dust and swarf at the place of generation and forces it via the impeller into the air injection frame. The swarf collects in the dust or swarf sack. The dust/air mixture flows into the filter sack, where the dust is filtered out. The cleaned air is fed directly back to the operating area. The double-walled filter sack offers a significantly larger filter area compared to other designs. Filter cartridges are also possible here as an option. The filter elements are cleaned manually. The multi-extractors are predominantly used with coarse-grained and unproblematic types of dust and swarf. The devices are not suitable for continuous operation or for wood dust and splinters. The basic version consists of a wall with a two-fold filter stage. The attached radial fan is equipped with spark protection in the suction nozzle as well as an explosion-proof motor. The first filter stage is formed by a paper filter or a baffle plate filter, consisting of two rows of galvanised sheet metal lamellae arranged one behind the other. A glass fibre fine filter arranged directly behind it represents the second filter stage. The spray wall can additionally be equipped with removable or fixed side and ceiling panels. Each version is also available with floor suction pan, available with an integrated 2-stage filter and grating cover. Accessories In addition, the spray wall can be equipped with various accessories from the Rippert product range, such as explosion-proof lights, energy-saving flaps, turntables, etc. We recommend the installation of a supply air system for the replacement of the exhausted air. Cleaning / maintenance The spray wall is designed such that the filter elements can be exchanged with little effort in a very short time. For faster cleaning, baffle plate filters should by sprayed with a release agent (e.g. strippable varnish) before being put into operation. Underfloor paint mist extraction With dry separation, consisting of a support structure with attached paper filter, grating cover and a suction duct with air quantity adjustment.

With the high operating temperature of up to 85 °C, this innovative fan generation by SEPA EUROPE opens up a wide range of new applications for the user, not least the automotive sector. The term MagFix stands for magnetic fixation (positioning) of the fan propeller/rotor in sleeve bearing fans.

By mounting an axial fan, the effectiveness of the new Kühligel® can be increased considerably. Fanless solutions require a lot of space. They are heavy and expensive. For cooling with active coolers by SEPA EUROPE however, the new Kühligels are not only small and light but also extremely inexpensive. Thanks to intensive development work, SEPA EUROPE was able to construct a heat sink that enables fan mounting without extensive reworking using conventional screws. The choice of the suitable fan (size, sleeve or ball bearings, 5, 12, or 24 VDC, tacho, connector) enables the best possible combination that is required for the application in question. The fans used have a MTBF of up to 350000h (40°C) and thus meet the highest requirements. Thanks to its light weight, the Kühligel® can usually be mounted using double-sided adhesive heat conduction pads (TCTxx) or thermally conductive two-component adhesive (Hernon 746) which are both available from the SEPA EUROPE product range.

Thanks to the intelligent combination of DC fans with a fully integrated AC/DC converter, AC fans can now be operated at speeds that are independent of the power frequency. Up to 4500 rpm can be realized and the flow rate significantly increased if required. The EC generation in the dimensions 80mm to 280mm and with several different speeds replaces the previous AC fans in situtations where there is no DC voltage available and requires less power in the process. The previous AC fans can be replaced without restriction as the EC fans have identical dimensions and thickness. The versions that are smaller than 180mm have a wide-range input and can be connected without problem, worldwide to all AC voltage networks without need for further adaptation. This is underlined by the UL approval of the entire fan series.

The fan and cooling specialist SEPA EUROPE has now added three further models to its slimline radial fan series. The latest additions impress with their compact dimensions of 38 x 40 x 5 mm, 54 x 52 x 6 mm and 45 x 45 x 4 mm and have more than deserved the name „slimline“.
