Thanks to the intelligent combination of DC fans with a fully integrated AC/DC converter, AC fans can now be operated at speeds that are independent of the power frequency. Up to 4500 rpm can be realized and the flow rate significantly increased if required. The EC generation in the dimensions 80mm to 280mm and with several different speeds replaces the previous AC fans in situtations where there is no DC voltage available and requires less power in the process. The previous AC fans can be replaced without restriction as the EC fans have identical dimensions and thickness. The versions that are smaller than 180mm have a wide-range input and can be connected without problem, worldwide to all AC voltage networks without need for further adaptation. This is underlined by the UL approval of the entire fan series.

In the fluid dynamics laboratory of our Wasserburg competence centre, we design new fan wheels and turbines and optimise existing systems for performance, energy efficiency and noise emissions. We also develop complete systems of wheels with power units. Our range of tests includes suction operation, pressure operation and also unpressurised measurements. Revolutions up to 40,000 r/min and diameters of up to 250mm are possible. In our prototype department, we are able to simulate or modify the environmental circumstances of the fan wheels or turbines, thus achieving optimal operational conditions. Furthermore, we carry out mould-flow analysis, use ANSYS from external partners for the flow simulation and establish the fault probability and fault effect with FPFEs. New: Development of blower systems and optimization of ventilation systems.

A roof fan can be the same name referring to two different types of fans. On the one hand, it is the classic fan that is mounted indoors in homes and spins around to create an air flow in a room (these are also called HVLS fans (High-Volume Low-Speed)). And partly it is the type of fans that we work with – i.e. fans that are mounted outdoors on roofs belonging to e.g. apartment buildings, schools or industrial premises. A roof fan is a fan that is part of the ventilation system and has the task of extracting hot air, moisture and pollution from the indoor space and blowing them outside. The fans are usually designed to be robust and weather resistant as they are mounted on the roof. Of course, there are a variety of material designs adapted to the application needs.

Thanks to the high level of modularization, we can cater to specific customer requirements and develop tailor-made solutions as a matter of course. Scheuch COMPONENTS offers customized production of radial fans to accommodate special customer requirements. Thanks to our extensive expertise, customers are guaranteed maximum availability and a long service life, regardless of whether the air is carrying chips, fibrous material or aggressive or explosive gas mixtures. As a result of using fans in entire systems, Scheuch COMPONENTS has acquired a wealth of experience with specific requirements in a wide range of sectors and industries. For example, hot gas radial fans for high temperatures or double flow radial fans for large volumetric flows. For systems that need to be cleaned more frequently, SwingOut & PullOut radial-fans can be used.
