The new Scout VGS 4500 measuring station consists of measuring probes mounted on the front of the vehicle and a measuring cell installed within the vehicle. These two parts are connected via a suction hose. The system can be mounted on different type of vehicles such as a pickup truck, quad or car. To adapt to nature of the surface to be measured, the probe distance can be adjusted quickly and it is just as easy to store the entire front probe. With the Scout VGS 4500 measuring station from Schütz, very large sections of network can be inspected and the results can be recorded in a short time. With the vehicle-based measuring system, measurements are accurately taken at speeds up to 50 km/h. Even under the most difficult conditions, Scout VGS 4500 has proven its reliability. The system was successfully subjected to a resistance test in the desert at an outside temperature of over 36 degrees Celsius.

In addition to the pressure sensor for the level measurement, it is also possible to integrate a Pt1000 that is calibrated to ±0,1 °C from 0...50 °C. Extended lightning protection comes as standard with the SDI-12 interface and is available as an option for the RS485 interface.

Weight-optimized borehole probe with demountable carbon fiber rod and integrated filter technology. (Dust and water filter) Extremely light, yet very rugged construction for fatigue-free work. The borehole probe has a sight glass, dust filter and water filter integrated in the lower part. Temperature dependence and nonlinearity are precisely compensated for in the microcontroller by means of a mathematical model. The integrated Pt1000 achieves an accuracy of ±0,1 °C, and the conductivity can be measured at ± 2,5% of the selected range (0,2 / 2 / 20 / 200 mS/cm). The sensors can be supplied with either an RS485 or SDI-12 interface. Extended lightning protection comes as standard with the SDI-12 and is available as an option for the RS485 interface.

In addition to the digital RS485 interface, the sensors also have a rangeable analog output. Intrinsically safe – suitable for use in explosive atmospheres.

With a small diameter of just 16 mm, these level sensors are ideally suited to use in small spaces, such as narrow monitoring pipes. The measurement results can be read out via the 4...20 mA output or the RS485 interface. Extended lightning protection is integrated as standard.
