Alloy 400 (UNS N04400) is a solid-solution Nickel/Copper alloy that can be hardened only by cold working. It has reasonable strength and toughness over a wide temperature range and excellent resistance to many corrosive environments. Alloy 400 is widely used in many fields, especially marine and chemical processing. Typical applications are valves and pumps; pump and propeller shafts; marine fixtures and fasteners; electrical and electronic components; springs; chemical processing equipment; gasoline and fresh water tanks; crude petroleum stills, process vessels and piping; boiler feedwater heaters and other heat exchangers; and deaerating heaters. We recommend removing the filter from the pump, spraying at about 60 cm from the substrate.

Also hide the screw heads. For projecting vertical edges, use reinforced tape.

UV Fused Silica can be used in Flame Detection Applications, due to its high transmission into the NIR range (approximately <92% avg 400-2000nm) meaning that a clear distinction can be made between different wavelengths of light. UV FS also has a very low coefficient of thermal expansion 0.55x10-6K-1 at 300K) compared to N-BK7 (7.1x10-6K-1), meaning that it can still provide optical performance under high temperature. UV FS also has a high melting point compared to N-BK7, providing further protection for your application in high temperature environments. UV FS is comparable to N-BK7 or other similar optical glasses in its performance, having a very similar average transmission over the VIS range up to approximately 2000nm and a slightly lower refractive index.
