In order to ensure that castings, valves, pumps, hoses and other components or groups have been manufactured free of leakage, they are tested in non-destructive leakage tests. Oxygen, air, nitrogen or sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) can be used as the test medium.

As a manufacturer of vacuum pumps and vacuum parts Vacuum El System provides a vacuum leak test in clean areas, using the most up-to date equipment and procedures. All welded flanges, fittings and chambers are cleaned carefully and inspected by Helium mass spectrometry in order to meet customer requirements. Our Leak testing equipment is able to achieve 10 ̄ ¹º mbar l/sec. Leak Test Certificates are available on request.

Our highly flexible vacuum hoses are produced from longitudinal seam-welded, thin-walled stainless steel tubes, which are hydraulically formed in special-purpose machines. Our vacuum hoses are specifically cleaned after metal forming, during processing protected from uncleanness and prior to dispatch shrink-wrapped. Furthermore, all vacuum hoses will be leak tested prior to dispatch, by means of helium leak testing with up to 10E-8 mbar*l/s.

The CETATEST XS is a compact, fully automatic leak tester for the detection of leaking parts within the cycle time of the production process. The tester is designed for leak testing of small-volume test parts and short total testing times. It is equipped with a gauge pressure sensor, through which the leak-related pressure decay is detected during the measurement time (relative pressure method). Using the application software CETA Soft XS the parameterisation of the test programs is carried out. Measurement results and pressure variation curves can be recorded. Typical applications: Leak tests which require a large measuring range.

The new algorithms and measurement hardware eliminate typical defects in a differential system, such as differences in stabilization between the test part and the reference sample. The new range of instruments is able to work in 3 different ways: Pure Differential, Dual Absolute and Central Zero. The new Dual Absolute technology is so powerful and reliable that ForTest has decided to stop developing the classic differential system.

The T9731 is specifically designed for measure the adequate air flow rate in complete adherence to the standard EN 14683 for surgical masks testing. As shown in diagram C.1 on page 12 of the standard EN14683 , the instrument is equipped with two air flow meters of type Mass-flow with scales 0.0...20.0 nLitres/minute (2.12 of diagram - point C.2.1) servo driven valve controlled from the software (10 of the diagram - point C.2.4), and a double gauge / differential pressure measurement (M1 and M2) as expressly indicated in point C.2.2 . In order to comply with both the ISO accreditation standards and the expectations of the reference standard, the pressure measurements in “Differential" mode (or pressure drop) occurs in Pa or Pa/cm2 in case the sample area is set in the menu TST with area different from 1.00 cm2.
