CPAK provides cover tapes that are produced by different manufacturers and guarantees compatibility with their own materials. Before its release, the cover tape goes through several tests. There are two kinds of sealing cover tape heat sealable tape & pressuresensitive adhesive tape (PSA). The difference is that there is no heat treatment required for PSA cover tape. The basic material in our cover tape is polyester. A full range of cover tape widths is available for carrier tape; the width is ranging from 8 mm to 200 mm.

The transparent and self-adhesive protective tape is suitable for the subsequent protection of markings, including painted floor markings, to protect them from wear and dirt, e.g. during forklift traffic. The surface is slightly structured to reduce the risk of slipping. Its use is therefore useful, among other things, for slippery floor markings to increase slip resistance.

Floor marking for outdoor area / car park has been especially developed as a self-adhesive floor marking tape for outdoor use on uneven / rough surfaces with very high temperature resistance, e.g. for internal car parks, for car park marking in outdoor areas, outdoor storage as well as internal road marking.

Self-adhesive warning tapes for labelling particularly sensitive shipping goods.

The peel force is a critical parameter for every user of Tape & Reel. If the peel force is too low, the cover tape will not stick on the carrier tape properly and the components may fall out of the pockets. A too high peel force will cause costly down times at the pick & place machines. The KT 5000 peel force tester from KTECH is the ideal tool to measure the peel force on your production floor. For measuring, a strip of the carrier tape is loaded into the KT 5000 and the cover tape is attached to the sensor. The constant movement of the carrier tape is done with a sprocket wheel. The movement speed is controlled with an encoder. The design of the KT 5000 guarantees the same peel angle and the same peel point during the whole measurement. Before each run, the KT 5000 is doing a selfcalibration of the sensor. The measured values are transferred to a PC via a serial RS232 interface. A green bar on the screen shows a good result, if the measurement is out of limit, the bar is red.
