Key release with electrical authorization via an electromagnet and status return (Different voltage options for the coil). Aluminum housing, brass lock with pins and stainless steel springs. If the key is in a captive position and as long as the electromagnet coil is de-energized, the key remains captive and the status contact is open. When voltage is present at the input of the housing and if the button is pressed, the coil is energized, allowing the key to be turned. When the key is free, the status contact is closed. When voltage is present at the input of the housing, the electromagnet coil is energized, and if the key is in a captive position, the key remains captive and the status contact is open. If the button is pressed, the coil is no longer energized, allowing the key to be turned.
