We offer polymer ceramic component parts where plastic molding is required for complicated particle shapes and where the thermal stability of plastic is insufficient.

With our CNC-fiber laying technlogy we can manufacture carbon preforms up to 2500x2000mm. That way producing composite parts in large dimensions will not be a problem. The usage of different fibers (carbon, glass and aramid) is possible too. Please contact us.

Small parts in large quantities? Electrical engineering in particular requires very quick machines. Electrical engineering is also becoming increasingly important in IT, with particularly small components required here. The machines from SIM Automation GmbH can detect even the smallest deviations of mere millimeters during sorting. Any device is only as reliable as the sum of its components. With more than fifteen years of experience in manufacturing tuned and detuned filter reactors for power factor correction, we are now offering our range of line reactors for application in power electronics. Same as with our capacitors, we focus on minimized power losses and maximum durability of the reactor – optimized for your application. Made of high-class transformer sheets and copper wire or aluminium band. Vacuum-impregnated with environmentally friendly, low-styrole resin for long operating life, high voltage strength and low noise levels. Standard terminals: copper terminal lugs, optional with screw-terminal blocks or cables. Integrated reversible thermal switch for monitoring of the reactor and control of external disconnection in case of overheating. Our standard range covers 400V 50Hz up to 300A per phase. Other values are available on request.

Harmonic distortion is a key issue not only in low voltage, but also medium and high voltage Power Factor Correction. The installation of detuning reactors helps to protect capacitor installations from dangerous and devastating resonances by preventing any amplification of harmonic currents and voltages caused by resonance between capacitors and inductances in the mains. At the same time, it reduces the overall level of harmonic distortion in the mains. With FKD-MVTM, we are now expanding our long-year experience in making reactors for low-voltage PFC to the field of medium voltage up to 10kV. The low-loss reactors which are made of aluminium windings on iron cores, are optimized for use with our MSDTM capacitors. Each reactor is formed by a set of three compactly sized single phase units; that makes handling easier during mounting and maintenance and opens interesting options for allocation and dimensioning of your equipment.

A consumer whose load includes a high proportion of variable speed motor drives and/or other harmonic generating loads may require a detuned capacitor system. This would perform the function of power factor improvement whilst preventing any amplification of harmonic currents and voltages caused by resonance between capacitors and inductances in the mains. Our low-loss reactors are designed for such systems. They are available with adjusted (Dla) and fixed ratings (D): The adjusted reactor is designed to create exactly the required output of reactive power, allowing for the internal voltage rise inside the resonating circuit formed together with the capacitor connected in the circuit. Note that exact sizing of the capacitor is necessary.

ORAFOL Fresnel Optics GmbH offers a wide variety of microstructured optical components in varios sizes. Among others fresnel prisms, cylindrical lenses and beamsplitters, lenticular lenses and corner cube reflectors. We provide both a catalogue of standard products that can be adapted to our customers' requirements as well as the capabilities to design and manufacture custom optical solutions including finishing processes e.g. anti-reflective coatings and nano-structures and precise CNC machining.

Surface relief diffusive microstructures (SRDM) are used for specifically distributing light in a defined angle range. They homogenize irregular light distributions as well as local intensity peaks. It is also possible to apply those diffusive microstructures directly into the plano side of all our plastic optics components. Our products will be precily trimmed to our customers requirements.

Microlens arrays are one- or two dimensional periodic patterns of small lens structures (lens dimensions up to a few millimetres). They can be used in a variety of ways, e.g. collimation or homogenization of light, depending on the design. We offer custom designs for our customers without limitations regarding the pattern in a wide range of lens sizes and overall array sizes. It is also possible to apply a microlens array directly into the plano side of all our plastic optics components. Our products can be finished with a range of optical coatings and nanostructures and will be trimmed precisely to our customers requirements.

The best known microstructured optic is the Fresnel lens. Compared to a standard lens the surface of the fresnel lens is divided into a number of concentric grooves allowing for a wide range of optical effects (e.g. high-aperture (fast) large-area) while also reducing thickness, weight and cost. Fresnel lenses can be designed as a collimator, collector or with finite conjugates. They are usually corrected for spherical aberration. We offer a variety of standard designs as well as custom designs for our customers. Our lenses can be finished with a range of optical coatings and nanostructures and will be trimmed precisely to our customers requirements.
