In the field of plastics we offer metal strips with PVC plastisol and/or organosol coatings, as well as polyamide plastics. PP (polypropylene), PE (polyethylene), PC (polycarbonate), PET (polyethylene terephthalate) and PLA (polyactide), TPE (thermoplastic elastomer), TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) and others. These can be produced with a layer thickness of 5-200 μm Depending on the plastic, higher layer thicknesses can also be achieved. In addition, most plastics can also be equipped with antibacterial properties; of course in all colour variations. Although a one-sided coating more common, we are able to apply the same and/or different plastic adhesives for both sides.

Introduction Dryflex PS are a range of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) compounds designed for seals and pipe joints used in waste water applications. What are TPEs? TPEs are a family of polymer compounds which display elastic and rubber-like properties at their service temperature. Like thermoplastics, when heated and with the application of shear force, TPEs become free-flowing and when cooled regain their original structure and stability. Unlike the chemical cross-linking which occurs in thermoset rubbers, TPE involves purely physical cross-linking, which can be reversed via the further application of heat, this makes it possible to re-use all production waste and end of life products can be easily reprocessed. Product Assurance We support our customers by proving the performance of our products via relevant testing and working with industry standards. The Dryflex PS grades meet the requirements of EN 681-2:2000, the European Standard EN 681-2, Type WT. This testing allows our cus

Dryflex CS is a range of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) compounds, based on SEBS. The range has been engineered to deliver optimised compression set performance. The raw materials used to manufacture Dryflex CS compounds are compliant with major food contact regulations (food contact statements available on request). The compounds also offer excellent organoleptic performance. What is Compression Set? Compression set is the measure of permanent deformation remaining when an applied force is removed. A TPE sample is compressed to a specific deformation, for a specified time and at a specific temperature. The compression set value is the percentage of the sample that fails to recover to its original height and is an important performance indicator for applications such as seals, flexible connectors and gaskets. For a 40 shore A hardness TPE, typical compression set values are 65 to 70 percent, with the Dryflex CS range this is reduced to 40 percent (22 hours at 100 degree). Key Chara

We have developed a range of Mediprene thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) for plunger seals in single-use syringes. The TPE seal, which is mounted on the end of the plunger, needs to provide a leakproof seal with the syringe barrel. As ease of use for the medical practitioner and patient comfort are also key requirements, the seal helps to optimize plunger movement for accurate dosage control and ease of injection. Originating from medical raw materials with high biocompatibility status and compounded under clean conditions, Mediprene TPEs are the material of choice for medical customers who want to maximize the probability that their devices will pass relevant medical tests. The raw materials in these compounds comply with food contact norms like FDA 21CFR and Commission Regulation (EU) No 10/2011. All polymers used have passed tests according to USP class VI and the paraffinic oil has passed the USP Mineral Oil NSF H1, reg 125038 and also the European Pharmacopeia, liquid paraffin. Fo

Lifoflex FLAM are a range of halogen-free flame retardant thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) designed to meet the most demanding applications where resistance to ignition and burning are important features. Lifoflex FLAM compounds contain additives to give them better resistance to burning compared to general TPE grades. The range includes halogen, chlorine and antimony free grades which are low smoke and compliant with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directives, offering flame retardancy without the use of polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE). Lifoflex FLAM 600 series Flame retardant TPE, halogen free, fulfils the specification of UL 94 V0 with 3mm wall thickness. Easy processing by injection moulding and extrusion. Lifoflex FLAM 700 series The Lifoflex UV FLAM 700 series fulfils the highest specifications of flame retardant materials and can be used for railroad applications. A profile tested to DIN 5510-2:2009-05 (preventive fire protection in railway vehicles), rec

With our Dryflex WS range we have turned the usual water-resistant properties of TPEs on their head to engineer materials that swell up to ten times their volume when immersed in water. Dryflex WS are a range of thermoplastic elastomers (TPE), which contain hydrophilic particles. They swell at a controlled rate and percentage, with swell rates from 300 to 1000% when immersed in water. When there is no longer water present the compound shrinks back to its original size, a process that can be repeated an almost unlimited number of times. Dryflex WS materials are used in applications to form a positive seal and prevent the ingress or exit of water. We have also developed softer grades which offer excellent drapability. They are an ideal choice for water stop applications where the profiles may be coiled or need to be fitted around complex structures. Compounded in any colour, the water swellable TPE is 100% recyclable and can be processed using conventional plastic fabricating methods, i

What is Dryflex Green? Dryflex Green is a family of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) compounds containing raw materials from renewable resources such as plant and vegetable crops. So far we have developed several series with amounts of renewable content to over 70% (ASTM D 6866) with hardnesses from 50 to 80 Shore A. Why use biobased? Plastics are predominantly a by-product of oil, a diminishing resource. We are therefore seeing increasing demands to look at how we can work with biobased, renewable materials and bring new opportunities for sustainability. Utilising raw materials that are derived from renewable vegetable crops, that are responsibly grown, can contribute to an improved LCA (Life Cycle Assessment), which measures the environmental impact of all stages a product’s life from cradle to grave. Crops for industrial use can be grown in poor soil which is unsuited to food crops, avoiding food crop displacement and improving biodiversity. The planting of these crops can also hel
