The new strain gage amplifier with IO-Link interface enables digitalization of the measurement technology right from the sensor. Its compact design and high degree of protection allow the instrumentation amplifier to be used practically anywhere in the field. Strain gage sensors typically have an output voltage of a few millivolts. In industrial environments, e.g. in the vicinity of electric motors or frequency converters, interference can affect the measurement result when transmitting analog signals. This is reliably avoided using the new strain gage amplifier with IO-Link interface. The analog link between the sensor and instrumentation amplifier is kept as short as possible, the standardized IO-Link communication is fully digital and interference-free. The amplifier is powered directly via the IO-Link interface – a standardized 5-wire cable with M12 socket. Strain gage sensors can be connected via a 4-pin M8 connector.

In the field there is a frequent need to measure sensor readings rapidly and easily right at the sensor and to transfer them directly to a PC without additional amplifiers or converters. The 9206 USB sensor interface can satisfy this requirement admirably, thanks to its „plug & measure“ design. The USB connection means installation could not be simpler. Typical applications: —Mobile test measurements via laptop —Laboratory test set-ups —Instrumentation and control —Diagnostic measurements in the chemical industry —PC-based recording of expansion figures in bio engineering The USB sensor interface takes its supply from the connected PC via the USB port, and uses it to generate the power supply for the sensors. The initial settings and sensor settings are made by burster in-house and saved in the USB sensor interface. These can then be fine-tuned by the customer.

The tension and compression load cell model 8435 enables universal and fast installation, requires hardly any installation space and upgrades with technical data that are readily achieved by larger sensors. Due to its excellent price-performance ratio with regard to its mechanical and electrical data, the force sensor finds its place in products that are also manufactured in larger quantities and calculated with a small budget. This model of load cell uses proven strain gage technology to perform measurements. Strain gages are applied to the sensitive element and connected to form a full bridge. It is important that the force is applied axially to the center of the sensor. The domed form, however, minimizes the effect of a force that is not exactly axial.

The MP Computer is a comfortable, comprehensive and easy-to-handle evaluation, display and control unit for different types of engine test beds. Its clear and ergonomic arrangement fascilitates the work with the test bed. Desired loads can be adjusted quickly and easily. Specialists are not required. Many optional additional functions increase enlarge the comfort of the MP Computer. Maintaining permanent accuracy of torque measurement is facilitated by a semi-automatic calibration routine. Existing engine/motor test beds can be modernized by an MP Computer. Examples of optional additional functions: - Automatic gravimetric determination of the specific fuel consumption. - Several possibilities of output and documentation of measured values. - Acquisition of non-electric and electric measuring values on combustion engines, electric machines, etc. - Special functions required by certain measuring tasks.

Quality engineering With the most modern measuring equipment, release parts are checked and the measurements accompanying the production are carried out. The optimum oscillation behavior of the ultrasonic sonotrodes is determined by means of FEM (Finite Element Method) calculation. Highest precision requirements in terms of CAD/CAM calculation algorithms guarantee precise 3D contours for sonotrode manufacturing. Measuring and documentation of the amplitude distribution is performed at the vibrating sonotrode using state-of-the-art laser measurement technology. Special surface finishings result in even longer service life spans of the ultrasonic sonotrodes.

Robustness, accuracy, and simplicity are attributes characterizing this ultrasonic welding machine. The entry-level models already include a position measuring system and proportional valve technology as basic equipment. Moreover, password protection and part counter are standard. Precision guiding rails and reliable drive components ensure repeatable welds.

The Total-Meter™ is a fully calibrated electronic flow meter with a built-in flow totalizing function. The Total-Meter™ utilizes field-proven differential pressure flow measurement technology to accurately monitor industrial liquids or gases. The actual flow rate is displayed locally on the 4 digit LED display and is also retransmitted with a scalable 4-20mA output for remote monitoring. In addition, the Total-Meter™ tracks total volumetric consumption up to 999,999,999,999 engineering units and will communicate using the ModbusRTU protocol over RS-485/232. The Total-Meter™ is designed to be piped directly into a gas or liquid pipeline and requires minimal space. Integrated programmable flow alarm output can be configured to trigger either high or low flow alarm situations based on actual flow rates.

Calibration means to operate a target-performance comparision using a measuring instrument and a traceable reference. Calibration of instruments is essential in every area where sensitive measurement technology is used, e.g. in the manufacturing of sensors. It is the only way to guarantee quality standards and prevent defects arising in processes and products from the outset. For companies wanting to attain ISO 9001 certification, regular calibration of testing equipment is a requirement. halstrup-walcher has been accredited by the German calibration service DKD and Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH (DAkkS) as a calibration laboratory in accordance with DIN EN ISO / IEC 17025 since 1999 – among other things for calibration of pressure measurements.
