The use of pole reversal control devices to control lifting magnets makes it possible to adjust the magnetic field very precisely. The SB950-SF has an installed sensor. It measures the magnetic force, compares it with the workpiece weight and shows on the display if the workpiece can be transported. Kendrion (Aerzen) Mini Permanent magnet brakes open electromagnetically. The braking torque without backlash is generated by permanent magnets. The brakes can be installed in any position. High quality magnets ensure safe functionality. The rated torque is achieved immediately at the time of delivery without any running-in procedure.

The main characteristic of the magnetic particle clutch is the possibility to smoothly change the torque depending on the field voltage. To transmit the torque from the external to the internal rotor, specifically alloyed and highly abrasion-resistant iron particles are inserted into the particle gap. Depending on the electromagnetic field, these fine iron particles build magnetic chains and thus transmit the torque. The power of the field determines the stability of the particle chains and also the transmittable torque.

Electromagnetic clutches and brakes by Kendrion (Aerzen) transmit the torque and brake torque through dry running friction material. With DC voltage applied, the torque is transmitted without backlash. Using the prestressed spring of the armature, a release, free of residual torque is ensured. These clutches and brakes can be installed in any mounting position and hardly need any maintenance. Kendrion (Aerzen) offers standard clutches from 0.3 to 3.6 Nm as well as customer- and application-specific solutions up to 5 Nm.
