In the fluid dynamics laboratory of our Wasserburg competence centre, we design new fan wheels and turbines and optimise existing systems for performance, energy efficiency and noise emissions. We also develop complete systems of wheels with power units. Our range of tests includes suction operation, pressure operation and also unpressurised measurements. Revolutions up to 40,000 r/min and diameters of up to 250mm are possible. In our prototype department, we are able to simulate or modify the environmental circumstances of the fan wheels or turbines, thus achieving optimal operational conditions. Furthermore, we carry out mould-flow analysis, use ANSYS from external partners for the flow simulation and establish the fault probability and fault effect with FPFEs. The TFV 100 Ex Radial Fan has an exceptional operating procedure. It incorporates axial suctioning and radial blowing out of air. The TVF 1200 heavy duty radial fan is designed to deliver outstanding air circulation over considerably long distances. The fans can convey large volumes of air up to a maximum 54,000 m³/h. It is geared to handle exceptionally high air pressures of 45,000 m³/h (2,150 Pa). The fans are equipped with the ability to discharge air with impressive velocities of 38 m/s (136.8 km/h). They can be set at unlimited variations in configuration, assisted by a frequency controller. The TVF 1200 can withstand air temperatures of 80°C and can operate efficiently at ambient temperatures of -20 °C to 40 °C. They require voltage input of 400 V at 50 Hz (65 A) and maximum power supply of 37 kW.

The B 500 Humidifier radio is a blend of wireless humidifying, cleaning and filtering. The unit is equipped with a fully automatic four-stage radial fan that offers a noise free and extremely efficient operation. The unit is designed to offer versatile adjustments as per need. The wireless sensor measures up to a distance of 30m delivering highly accurate and stable measuring results. The sensor is to be fitted with battery and placed within a suitable measuring area¹ on a wall or a ceiling for automatic operation. The sensor measures and monitors the relative humidity at regular intervals and control the humidifier up to 30 meters distance. An acoustic signal indicates for battery change during low battery. For lower utilisation times or overspray quantities RES dry spray booth For lower utilisation times or smaller overspray quantities, spray systems with dry separation offer a meaningful alternative to water-sprinkled systems. The Rippert modular spraying system type RES enables individual adaptation to the respective case of need. The filter system of the RES dry spray wall consists of individual square cardboard boxes. A sheet metal frame serves as a support structure for the filter box. In order to save costs, there is a possibility to vary the individual filter boxes in the spray booth, without exchanging all of the filter elements. Function The overspray is caught by the exhaust air stream and fed to the filter. The solids are filtered out here, while the cleaned exhaust air is blown out into the open air by the fan. Versions The basic version consists of a wall with a two-fold filter stage. Paper filter boxes form the first filter stage. A glass fibre fine filter arranged directly behind it represents the second filter stage. The attached radial fan is equipped with spark protection in the suction nozzle as well as an explosion-proof motor. The spray booth can additionally be equipped with removable or fixed side and ceiling panels. The RES dry spray booth is available in galvanised sheet metal or in stainless steel. Advantages Cleaning / maintenance The spray wall is designed such that the filter elements can be exchanged with little effort in a very short time. Once it is saturated, the filter box is removed from the sheet metal frame and disposed of in an environmentally-friendly manner.

These are ideally suited for extraction from one or more sources of dust and are predominantly used in small and medium-sized enterprises for air quantities of up to 6,000 m³/h. ES 200P/280P deduster with jet cleaning The ES 200P deduster is designed for an air quantity of max. 3,000 m³/h and has one dust collection container; the ES 280P is designed for max. 6,000 m³/h and has two dust collection containers. The ES deduster is made of galvanised sheet steel and is a universal device for the extraction and separation of various types of swarf and dust. The raw air inlet nozzle has a non-return valve arranged upstream of the device. The filter works according to the downdraft principle, i.e. raw air is fed to the filter cartridges from above. This construction results in extremely efficient pre-filtration and preserves the filter medium. The filter cartridges are cleaned by means of compressed air impulse. Swarf and dust is collected in the mobile containers arranged underneath. The fan, which is arranged on the clean air side, is equipped with a high-performance impeller. The clean air outlet opening has a sound-absorbing lining. The electrical controller is directly attached. Equipment Optional: 280P / PAS deduster MS multi-extractor with double-walled filter sack The built-in radial fan sucks off dust and swarf at the place of generation and forces it via the impeller into the air injection frame. The swarf collects in the dust or swarf sack. The dust/air mixture flows into the filter sack, where the dust is filtered out. The cleaned air is fed directly back to the operating area. The double-walled filter sack offers a significantly larger filter area compared to other designs. Filter cartridges are also possible here as an option. The filter elements are cleaned manually. The multi-extractors are predominantly used with coarse-grained and unproblematic types of dust and swarf. The devices are not suitable for continuous operation or for wood dust and splinters. The basic version consists of a wall with a two-fold filter stage. The attached radial fan is equipped with spark protection in the suction nozzle as well as an explosion-proof motor. The first filter stage is formed by a paper filter or a baffle plate filter, consisting of two rows of galvanised sheet metal lamellae arranged one behind the other. A glass fibre fine filter arranged directly behind it represents the second filter stage. The spray wall can additionally be equipped with removable or fixed side and ceiling panels. Each version is also available with floor suction pan, available with an integrated 2-stage filter and grating cover. Accessories In addition, the spray wall can be equipped with various accessories from the Rippert product range, such as explosion-proof lights, energy-saving flaps, turntables, etc. We recommend the installation of a supply air system for the replacement of the exhausted air. Cleaning / maintenance The spray wall is designed such that the filter elements can be exchanged with little effort in a very short time. For faster cleaning, baffle plate filters should by sprayed with a release agent (e.g. strippable varnish) before being put into operation. Underfloor paint mist extraction With dry separation, consisting of a support structure with attached paper filter, grating cover and a suction duct with air quantity adjustment.

By mounting an axial fan, the effectiveness of the new Kühligel® can be increased considerably. Fanless solutions require a lot of space. They are heavy and expensive. For cooling with active coolers by SEPA EUROPE however, the new Kühligels are not only small and light but also extremely inexpensive. Thanks to intensive development work, SEPA EUROPE was able to construct a heat sink that enables fan mounting without extensive reworking using conventional screws. The choice of the suitable fan (size, sleeve or ball bearings, 5, 12, or 24 VDC, tacho, connector) enables the best possible combination that is required for the application in question. The fans used have a MTBF of up to 350000h (40°C) and thus meet the highest requirements. Thanks to its light weight, the Kühligel® can usually be mounted using double-sided adhesive heat conduction pads (TCTxx) or thermally conductive two-component adhesive (Hernon 746) which are both available from the SEPA EUROPE product range.

Thanks to the intelligent combination of DC fans with a fully integrated AC/DC converter, AC fans can now be operated at speeds that are independent of the power frequency. Up to 4500 rpm can be realized and the flow rate significantly increased if required. The EC generation in the dimensions 80mm to 280mm and with several different speeds replaces the previous AC fans in situtations where there is no DC voltage available and requires less power in the process. The previous AC fans can be replaced without restriction as the EC fans have identical dimensions and thickness. The versions that are smaller than 180mm have a wide-range input and can be connected without problem, worldwide to all AC voltage networks without need for further adaptation. This is underlined by the UL approval of the entire fan series.

Chip cooling with the aid of heat sinks usually requires a lot of space and is not only heavy but also expensive. The specialists at SEPA EUROPE have developed a chip cooler with minimum space requirements for compact designs. The core component of the compact cooler is the ultra-flat blower HY40H that is combined with a Kühligel® of pure aluminium. The special feature of the new cooling solution is its variability which means that the size and shape of the heat sink can be freely chosen. Users can thus assemble the cooler to optimally fulfil their requirements. With a thermal resistance of a mere 2.5 K/W, the new chip cooler withstands a power dissipation of up to 15 W and in doing so guarantees the operational safety of the entire embedded system. The blower is equipped with the highly durable Magfix® sleeve bearing and has an impressive service life expectancy of von 210 000 h (MTBF) at 40 °C.

The significance of air quality measurements whether in industry, households or in vehicles is constantly increasing. Manufacturers therefore, should equip their applications with the optimal sensor fan and in this respect SEPA EUROPE is exactly the right partner! SEPA EUROPE has complemented its range of microfans with the radial fan HY20A with the dimensions of 20 x 20 x 6.3 mm. The air intake of the radial fan which is on one side is 2 l/min and with a sound pressure level of 5dB(A) at a distance of 1m, it is virtually inaudible. As is the case with all microfans, the HY20A is equipped with the reliable Magfix sleeve bearing and has a service life of 400 000 h (MTBF) or 50 000 h (L10) at 40°C. The tachometer output constantly monitors the speed at which the fan is running. The HY20A is also an interesting solution for the cooling of hot spots in embedded applications. This compact blower ensures that optimal use is made of limited installation space.

The fan and cooling specialist SEPA EUROPE unveils a true innovation this year: The RaAxial fan. This created term is a combination of the words radial and axial. The microfan with its dimensions of 17x17x4.5mm is ideal for compact, embedded applications and offers numerous possibilities, e.g. as an axial fan for the ventilation of housings or as a radial fan for blowing air onto the heat sink. A tailor-made „Kühligel®“ has already been developed for the latter which makes the cooling of hotspots child’s play when space is limited. Reliability has top priority at SEPA EUROPE. Even the micro fan MF17B05 from the RaAxial range was a true innovation simply because it can be used not only as an axial fan but also as a radial fan. The micro fan has now a „big brother“– the LF40E05. The LF40E05 provides numerous possibilities for embedded applications. It can be used either as an axial fan with integrated finger guard or as a radial fan in combination with a heat sink. Together with a matching Kühligel® the flat cooling units have a height of approx. 12 mm. In other words, they are ideal for compact applications. In order to achieve the optimum size and heat dissipation, customized dimensions and shapes can be realized. The new model with its 0.15 W power input during operation, is extremely economical with regard to its diverse application possibilities. And that’s not all, the new RaAxial fan has aerodynamically optimized blades that have a significant effect on the noise behaviour. The LF40E05 is thus exceptionally quiet.

Like the slightly less powerful MA series, it is guaranteed absolutely exhaust-free hot air. In addition, the units can be operated not only with oil, but are also approved for gas operation. The operating mode can be flexibly adapted to the conditions on site. Thus, the devices can be used in all areas. Hot air hose systems can also be connected without any problems thanks to the high-performance radial fans. Consequently, effective heating from outside is also possible without any problems. The recirculation module ensures efficient and economical operation. The oil burner blowers are made of high-quality materials by renowned manufacturers. They work so efficiently that 93% of the energy can be converted into heat.
