Particular Challenge: For the assessment of rotating parts, numerous parameters have to be taken into consideration: Concentricity, radial run-out and axial run-out (i.e. wobble); furthermore thickness, diameter, planarity and the absence of surface defects had to be examined. The solution developed by QuellTech consists in a configuration of three Q6 Laser Laser Scanners.Each of the lateral surfaces is assigned to its own scanner. In order to enable the thickness precisely to be determined, both laser lines are mutually oriented in opposite direction. The third scanner inspects the outer circumference of the wheel, this way measuring diameter and radial run-out. All of these scanners are subject to encoder signals supplied by the rotary axis and synchronously triggered, so possible defects on the wheel can precisely be localized. The measurement takes place at a resolution of ca. 30 µm, and a cloud comprising several millions of points are obtained.

The optoNCDT ILR2250 can be installed at distances up to 100 m, and even up to 150 m with a reflector film. This sensor impresses when measuring dark, structured and poorly reflecting surfaces, while providing stable measurement results to millimeter accuracy. White light interferometers use infrared light in the non-visible range (approx. 840 nm wavelength), which means that the measurement position cannot be seen. To visualize the measuring position, Micro-Epsilon systems are equipped with a pilot laser which projects a light spot onto the measuring position. In addition, the pilot laser uses a patented method to provide feedback on the distance in addition to the measurement position. If the measuring object is at the correct distance and within the measuring range, a constant glow is emitted by the pilot laser. If the measuring object is outside the measuring range, the pilot laser flashes.

The MIXACO discharge stations are used for dust free emptying of the product into the further processing step (e.g. dosing system into an extruder). The container is fixed in place when moved into the discharge station. Two different executions are available: Type Guide fork Type Platform Differentiated by the way of feeding the container.
