Micro-Epsilon offers a wide range of thickness measuring systems for different requirements and fields of application in coating lines. The thicknessCONTROL C-frames are designed for very harsh environments such as in dry coating. Their robust frame and the integrated temperature compensation feature ensure high measurement accuracy even in high ambient temperatures. In addition, the systems are available in different application-specific designs for various film widths with up to 8 measurement tracks.

QuellTech Solution For this purpose, QuellTech offers a perfectly tailored seam tracking solution, which is based on a QuellTech 2D-Laserline Sensor of the Q4 family. The method consists in measurement of the real position and width immediately ahead of the welding process. The laser sensor captures the real dimension of the weld bead, and the software used for this process simultaneously sends the nominal position to the robot. The robot performs a correction movement in X or Z position according to this measurement. This way not only the deviation caused by tolerances, but also the warping effect can be compensated – and the weldment takes place exactly at the required position. The QuellTech 2D-Laserline Sensor is specially prepared to the highly disturbing ambient light from the weld process. It can be cooled and protected from weld spatter, so this model proves to be particularly adequate for operation in the harsh environment of the welding process.

The SM series offers ultimate reliability and precision in a small size, and is designed for industrial and lab use. White light interferometers use infrared light in the non-visible range (approx. 840 nm wavelength), which means that the measurement position cannot be seen. To visualize the measuring position, Micro-Epsilon systems are equipped with a pilot laser which projects a light spot onto the measuring position. In addition, the pilot laser uses a patented method to provide feedback on the distance in addition to the measurement position. If the measuring object is at the correct distance and within the measuring range, a constant glow is emitted by the pilot laser. If the measuring object is outside the measuring range, the pilot laser flashes.

The colorCONTROL MFA is used for flexible color inspections and intensity testing of LEDs, displays and colored objects. The flexible positioning of the sensors in relation to the objects, as well as their high repeatability, measuring rates and dynamics are particularly favorable. One colorCONTROL MFA monitors up to 28 test objects simultaneously.

Micro-Epsilon offers a large range of inductive sensors for displacement and position measurement from conventional LVDT sensors and inductive sensors with integrated controller to customer-specific high-volume versions. The induSENSOR displacement sensors from Micro-Epsilon are used in automated processes, quality assurance, test rigs, hydraulics, pneumatic cylinders and automotive engineering.

The optoNCDT1420 offers a unique combination of speed, size, performance and application versatility for displacement, distance and position measurements. The compact triangulation sensor achieves a high measurement accuracy and measuring rates of up to 8kHz. The selectable connector type, i.e. cable or pigtail, together with compact size reduce the sensor installation effort to a minimum. Just like all triangulation sensors from Micro-Epsilon, the optoNCDT 1420 provides an intelligent surface regulation. The Active Surface Compensation (ASC) ensures stable measurement results regardless of changing surface colours or brightness. The high-performance optical system generates a small light spot which enables to even detect smallest components reliably.

The optoNCDT 1900 offers a unique combination of speed, size, performance and application versatility for displacement, distance and position measurements. This compact triangulation sensor achieves a high measurement accuracy and measuring rates of up to 10 kHz. The capaNCDT DT61x4 is an active, capacitive system for displacement, distance and position measurements. Consisting of a sensor with integrated preamplifier, a robust cable and a compact controller, the measuring system is immediately ready for use without any on-site calibration. The measuring system is available with a cable length up to 15 m and is ideal for automation purposes. The capaNCDT 61x4 is particularly suitable for automated robot manufacturing and measurement tasks with a drag chain. Moreover, it is used in machine building and semiconductor production. For optimum signal quality, the desired cable length is already factory-calibrated.

The capaNCDT DT61x0/IP is an industrial-grade, capacitive sensor system for displacement, distance and position measurements. Consisting of a sensor, a sensor cable and a controller, the measuring system is ready for use without any on-site calibration. Due to its very good temperature stability, immunity to magnetic fields and robust design that is protected to IP68, the capaNCDT DT61x0/IP is used for industrial measurement tasks such as air gap measurement in generators and regulation of plant and machinery.
