The damping fluid used by LEBENDämpfungstechnik GmbH is used with different consistency under the name COMPENSOL®. Each damping medium can be chosen to meet the requirements. We provide the ideal hydraulic oil (socalled medium) for use in temperaturecontrolled indoor areas up to extreme high temperatures or low temperatures. For special applications, e.g. at temperatures above +80° C or below 40° C, we use a pastelike dispersion as damping medium. This medium solidifies at rest to an apparently solid mass and only becomes flowable under the action of force. When the load ends, it returns to its apparently solid original state. This dispersion has the following properties chemically a colloidal solid dispersion physically a nonNewtonian pseudo plastic Bingham fluid with viscous properties It is a paste or better a coagulation structure and deforms plastically under mechanical stress.

Typical electric process heaters applications include heating of liquids i.e. heat transfer oil or fuel oil, glycol reboilers and water heaters and heating of pressurized gases i.e. pressurized air, superheated water steam, nitrogen or other compositions of gases. The Gentle-boil system SchoKo 2.0 is installed where evaporation has always been the most effective—between the whirlpool and the wort cooler. This is similar to the conditions the so-called Kuehlschiff (Eng. Cooling tun) provided in the past, only here the process occurs within in an airtight system, free from exposure to oxygen. Brewers can look forward to a final product with a perfect foam head and exceptional flavor stability. The energy consumption comes out to less than 1 Liter of fuel oil per 100 Liters of wort (approximately 1 gallon of fuel oil per 26 gallons of wort). Because vacuum evaporation can now take place at 80°C (176°F), the re-heating of any reserve hot water can be eliminated. Thanks to the complete recovery of evaporation heat, the amount of hot water generated in the evaporation condenser is considerably reduced.
