This robust, vertical installation machine is specifically designed to install Compression Limiters into a variety of plastic components. The machine is available in two models: the CL1000 is capable of 4.4 kN (or 1,000 lbs.) of installation force and the CL2000 is capable of 8.8 kN (or 2,000 lbs. of installation force, and is available with multiple installation tips in nearly any configuration at various elevations. The incorporation of a touchscreen operator interface machines makes our machines easy to use and customisable. Language conversion is easily executed to support international use. SPIROL's Model DP self-contained vertical drilling and pinning machine is ideally suited for moderate to high production applications that require accurate drilling and pinning of assemblies. The concept of drilling and pinning with one system eliminates tight tolerance and precision drilling of individual components to ensure proper alignment of holes for assembly. The Model DP Drilling and Pinning Machine consists of an automatic high-precision drilling unit, a SPIROL Model CR Heavy Duty Pin Insertion Machine and a precision air-powered linear slide unit to move the assembly between the drill unit and installation station. The Model DP Drilling and Pinning Machine can drill holes ranging in diameter from 0.8mm-6mm (.031”-.250”) and is capable of insertion forces up to 8 kN (1,800 lbs).

SPIROL offers a line of light duty and heavy duty Pin Driving Chucks designed to be used in SPIROL’s Manual Pin Inserters (Model PM, Model PMH or Model PMX). A Pin Driving Chuck may also be used in a drill press or arbor press with an adaptor. All Pin Driving Chucks are designed with spring tension at the tip to hold the pin securely in place prior to and during installation. The exposed end of the pin is then placed into the hole and the tool is advanced to complete the installation. The tools are supplied with a flush, above-flush or below-flush setting, depending on the application requirements.

The capaNCDT 6110 is a new, capacitive single-channel displacement measurement system comprising a compact controller, a sensor cable and the sensor. Due to the miniaturised controller and its easy operation, the capaNCDT 6110 is ideally suited to the integration in machines and facilities.

Non-contact eddyNCDT 3300 eddy current displacement sensors are designed for use in factory automation, for machine monitoring, for quality control and quality assurance. More than 80 differentes sensors models are available.

The SPIROL Model PH Heat Insert Driver provides an accurate and consistent method to simultaneously install multiple Threaded Inserts or Compression Limiters at multiple elevations. Simultaneous installation dramatically increases productivity and simplifies the number of manufacturing steps to complete an assembly. Additionally, the platen head and fixture can be easily changed to accommodate quick change-over to different assemblies associated with new production runs. This machine can be used to install 12 Inserts into 1 assembly, or a fewer number of Inserts into a larger number of assemblies – as long as the total combination does not exceed 12 Inserts.

Some of SPIROL's standard Pin Installation Models can be equipped with a pusher punch (in place of a pin insertion quill) to press Threaded Inserts into plastic assemblies. The most appropriate Installation Machine depends on the actual insertion force required to press the Insert into the plastic hole and the desired productivity. Generally speaking, the Model PMH Heavy Duty Installation Machine is typically used for low to medium volume installation, and for medium to high volume installation, SPIROL's Model PH/PHX Platen-Style Installation Machines can be used for simultaneous installation of several Press-In Inserts at the same or different elevations. Due to the length to diameter ratio of Press -In Inserts, it is not possible to cost-effectively tube feed this type of Threaded Insert with SPIROL's automatic feeding and Installation machines.

This versatile installation machine is suited for moderate to high production applications requiring up to 1.3 kN (300 lbs.) of installation force. The pin insertion head advances and retracts for ease of loading and unloading of the components to be pinned. The machine’s insertion bushing is positioned close to the part for smooth installation. A vibratory feeder and orientation head transfers the pin from the feeder bowl to the installation position, eliminating the need for the operator to handle the pins. A quick-clear mechanism allows for easy clearing of the feed tube without the need for tools when changing pin size or performing maintenance.

SPIROL's Model HC Dual Pin Inserter is a lightweight, portable, horizontal Pin Inserter designed to install SPIROL Series 550 Cosmetic Coiled Pins into plastic hinges. The cylinder/driving head modules can be moved in and out with ease, and fixture changes are simple which enables quick conversion from one assembly to another. This machine quickly and effectively delivers the pins automatically to the installation site eliminating the need for the operator to touch them during the entire assembly operation. SPIROL's Model CR Semi-Automatic Heavy Duty Pin Inserter is a robust, vertical pin insertion machine ideally suited for moderate to high production for applications requiring up to 8kN (1,800 lbs) of installation force. A retractable pin orientation head, mounted on a shaft/linear bearing arrangement moves up and down for ease of loading and unloading of the components to be assembled. The insertion bushing is positioned close to the part for smooth, trouble free installation. The orientation head shuttles the pin from the feeding position to the installation position, and also functions as a selector, preventing longer or shorter pins from being installed. A two position trap door allows for easy clear-out of the feed tube.

SPIROL manufactures several different styles of Post Mould Installed Compression Limiters for installation into the plastic component after the molding process is complete. Installing Compression Limiters after the plastic has cooled typically results in the lowest total installed cost since there is no added cycle time associated with placing the Compression Limiters over core pins during the moulding process. Post mould installed Compression Limiters also eliminate any concern with damaging the mould due to improperly positioned components.
