The 9163 process value indicator covers a wide range of applications in which process values need to be measured, displayed, analyzed and transferred to higher-level control systems. Typical applications include measuring geometric values in production, for instance differential measurements, or testing material properties in the laboratory. The measured values can be transferred via PROFIBUS, RS232 interface or analog output. The multi-channel version can be used with up to four sensors. These sensors can be combined using mathematical functions, so that even complex measurement tasks can be performed with just the one instrument. Visual alarms on the display make it easier and more convenient to assess when values lie off-limits. Up to four configurable outputs are available as relay or logic outputs. The excellent measurement accuracy of 0.1% also makes this instrument suitable for high-precision applications.

The IF2008/ETH interface module is designed for multi-channel applications. This module allows for up to 8 Micro-Epsilon sensors or encoders with RS422 interface to be integrated into an Ethernet network. The capaNCDT DTV series is designed for non-contact detection of Disc Thickness Variation (DTV). Capacitive sensors for multi-track measurements and a carrying case including the complete measurement channel for mobile use are available. With the capaNCDT DTV measurement system, capacitive displacement sensors determine the thickness of the brake discs from both sides based on the difference principle. While the brake disc rotates, the thickness deviation is determined via the circumference of the entire disc. Using several sensors in pairs or the CSH1,4FL multi-channel sensor makes multi-track thickness measurement possible. Thickness measurements can be carried out in test benches, in road tests or in car repair shops. The DTV case is intended for mobile use, e.g., for quality assurance purposes and warranty claims.

Capacitive displacement sensors are designed for measurement tasks that require extremely high precision. The capaNCDT 6500 capacitive multi-channel system is ideally suited to reliable measurements down to sub-nanometre resolution. The controller offers a maximum response rate of 7.8kHz (digital, with up to four channels) or a frequency response of 8.5kHz. As well as an analogue output, an EtherCAT interface is also available. EtherCAT enables accurate data transmission in real time, with high speed integration into the existing measurement environment and synchronisation of two systems. Set up and configuration of the capaNCDT 6500 system are carried out easily using a web browser.
