A closed end rivet The rivet body of the GESIPA CAP ® blind rivet is absolutely air and watertight. Liquids cannot seep through, could however seep around the set rivet, if the setting hole is too large. Therefore great care must be brought to fullfi lling the hole tolerances. The GESIPA CAP ® blind rivet – The structure For technical reasons, the rivet mandrel of the GESIPA CAP ® blind rivet must be fi xed in the rivet body. However this means that the rivet body can only deform slightly during the setting process. As a result, the cap blind rivet only has marginal hole fi lling capability. However this is necessary to be able to compensate large bore-hole tolerances. The GESIPA CAP ® blind rivet – Tight connections with care The above-mentioned technical situations make careful preparation of the application imperative. The hole diameter should be as tight as possible to ensure a fl awless function in the application for a long period.

Up to 60 rivets per minute! – Endorsed by major customers! GESIPA® speed rivets are a cost-effective alternative to automation. Speed rivet technology is a joining method that requires access from only one side and which enables fast cycle times thanks to the preloaded rivets and automatic feed. Advantages of the Speed Bulb® • Optimally adapted to specific grip range • Distinct bulb formation — High grip force — High pulling force • For higher loads • Ideally suited for transmitting shear and tensile forces • Ideal for: — Higher dynamic loads — Sheet metal structures — Electrical devices — White goods

Self-clinch studs (flush head studs) are fasteners that have a serration under the head. At inserting into the metal sheet it presses the displaced material into the rivet ring to secure the fastener. Advantages: • high resistance to torque strain • no damage of coated surfaces - ideal for sheet panels • always vertical to the sheet • head is flush on the metal sheet after insertion

Self-clinching rivet nuts from series 10.455 and 10.456 are riveted into the component. A shaft is passed through a pre-punched hole in the component and riveted on the opposite side. The base material is not deformed in the process. These threaded fasteners feature serrated shafts that cut into the metal sheet surface, ensuring a high torsion resistance and torque load capacity. In addition to insertion with the aid of a press, these models can also be inserted using hand tools.

Self-clinch studs are fasteners that have a serration under the head. At inserting into the metal sheet it presses the displaced material into the rivet ring to secure the fastener. Sheet metal fasteners with internal and external threads are especially suitable for working with thin metal sheets starting with 0.5 mm thickness. This reduces the thickness of the elements in general in favour of lower weight and less material. Aft er processing they are permanently connected to the base material. The screwed connecti ons can be removed aft erwards without risking displacement of the fastener. Through this the production processes are rationalized and secured.

All around eciency is provided by the use of pre-assembled fastening systems; fewer part types, lessened assembly costs, and mimimized supplier base are just a few of the many reasons the trend is in pre-fabricated components. Depending on the application, manufacturers can use dierent materials and take advantage of detachable or permanent captive fastening systems. Features and benefits : -Assembly costs and times are reduced -Mimimized part diversity -High level of assembly reliability -Decreased efforts in assembly -Eliminate lost parts -High load capacity -Integrated tolerance compensation -Minimized supplier base for effectiveprocurement and decreased logistic costs -Removal of thread-cutting and self-tappingscrew combinations -Omission of incorrect product usageand assembly errors -Effortless disassembly and reassembly Advantages : -RELIABILITY OF ASSEMBLY -INTEGRATED TOLERANCE COMPENSATION -ALLOWANCE OF COMPACT DESIGNS - HIGH LOAD CAPACITY
