When we refer nowadays to a potentiometer as a sensor, it is important to bear in mind the statements made here only apply if the potentiometer is connected as voltage divider rather than as a variable resistor (rheostat) (Fig. 2). The wiper voltage must be connected, free of load, to an operational amplifier such as a 741, OP 07 or some other component with a high input impedance. Fig. 3 explains the terms used, such as electrical and mechanical travel. L1 indicates the defined electrical travel. L2 indicates the continuity travel which also includes the non-linear connection fields Fig. 4. L3 indicates the total electrical contact travel of the potentiometer. L4 indicates the mechanical travel. An electrical potential need not be defined for the whole of this travel. The Kuhnke FIO Controller 116 is a PLC based on i.MX6 with integrated CODESYS PLC. It is able to exchange data with other systems via industrial Ethernet and RS232. In addition, a built-in SD-card slot and a USB-interface allow local storage of process data. An interrupt input allows realizing fastest possible reactions on specific process events. As far as mechanic properties and form factor are concerned, the controller matches the FIO I/O modules, which can be attached directly to form a mechanically and electrically homogenous unit. The tension and compression load cell model 8435 enables universal and fast installation, requires hardly any installation space and upgrades with technical data that are readily achieved by larger sensors. The newly developed sensor PROFIBUS module model 9221 is predestined for the integration of various analog sensor output signals into complex, net worked and peripheral automation structures. This module finds its fields of application in the industrial automation technology as well as the test rig technology based on its secure and reliable transfer mode, the fast transfer speed and its simple construction. The inputs (e.g. PLC signal gauge) and outputs in addition to the external control allow a zero compensation by trigger via proximity switch or fast alerting on passing of set point values. These high-power bimetal operated temperature switches are available either with normally closed (NC) or normally open (NO) contact configuration. The robust round metal enclosure accommodates a resilient preloading disk, a bimetal disk and a silver contact. The compact switch system is covered by means of a plate which also carries a silver contact and is isolated from the enclosure by means of an isolating washer. The resilient preloading disk ensures excellent performance. The resilient preloading disk keeps the contact pressure constant throughout the entire temperature range of the BEDIA switch until switching occurs. The mechanically and electrically unloaded bimetal disk snaps over at a preset temperature, with either opening or closing the contact arrangement. The bimetal will only snap back to its initial condition after the temperature has dropped significantly.

KAMAT foot valves and foot switches are products of the highest technical quality. They are designed for opening and closing the water supply to high pressure blasting equipment. This valve can be used to open and close the water supply to a high pressure blasting unit. The water is supplied by a high pressure hose connected to the foot valve. When the pedal of the valve is depressed, the valve opens. When the pedal is released, the valve closes and the water is discharged through the bypass without pressure. The foot valve and high pressure pump can also be connected via an electrical switch. If the pump has a suitable control, the pressure generation is switched on or off mechanically when the valve is actuated. Air insulated switching module incorporates a Tavrida Electric vacuum circuit breaker with a per phase actuator, housed in a corrosion resistant tank. Six main circuit bushings, made from UVstable polymer, are covered with silicone rubber bushing boots.
