With the help of the 3D-MID process, plastic parts can be metallized not only over the entire surface, but also selectively. To do this, the plastic part is activated with a special laser at the points that are to be coated (this is referred to as laser activation or laser direct structuring). The additives contained in the plastic directly under the plastic surface are “exposed” by the laser treatment. In a chemical bath, copper particles can then be deposited specifically only on the activated surfaces. Other metals, e.g. nickel, tin or gold, can then be deposited onto the starting layer of copper. In this way, a selectively coated plastic part is obtained. MID technology thereby makes it possible to selectively coat two-dimensional and also three-dimensional plastic parts and use them, for example, as circuit carriers for electronic or mechatronic assemblies. The Gronemeyer accumulation table can store large quantities of glasses, bottles or tins. The products are pushed to the accumulation table if there is backlog. The products are later re-fed into production by operating the system in reverse. The machine works according to the First In-Last Out principle. In case of malfunction, the electrical control system activates the accumulation table based on sensor messages. After the malfunction ends, the stored products are automatically fed into the line. Single-wire diameter ranging from Ø 0.05 mm to Ø 0.51 mm, left-hand lay or right-hand lay. Cross-section ranging from 0.005 mm² to 630 mm². Those single wires do not hold a fixed position inside the strand. Their position relative to one another undergoes a permanent change along the entire length of the bunch. The construction of a bunch is derived from the cross-section required, which leads to the electrical conductor featuring a certain resistance level. Different cross-sections with the same resistance value can be generated by applying single wires of varying sizes. Owing to their good efficiency our bunched single wires are versatile in a multitude of applications in cables and conductors.

Strands with a concentric structure made from Cu-ETP1, Cu-OF1 and LEONI Histral® alloys in bare, tin-plated, nickel-plated or silver-plated, soft annealed. Single-wire diameter ranging from Ø 0.05 mm to Ø 0.51 mm, left-hand lay or right-hand lay. Cross-section ranging from 0.02 mm² to 630 mm². The individual wires are subject to an exact positioning around a core wire, which ensures an all-out uniform structure. Concentric strands are particularly appropriate for thin-gauge coating with high-grade isolation materials (extrusions). 7-end strands are especially suited for data cables with high frequencies of transmission. The technical qualities of a concentric strand can be extremely well and accurately customized by combining several different alloy wires.

Strands with a semi-concentric structure made from Cu-ETP1, Cu-OF1 and LEONI Histral® alloys in bare, tin-plated, nickel-plated or silver-plated, soft annealed. Single-wire diameter ranging from Ø 0.05 mm to Ø 0.51 mm, left-hand lay or right-hand lay. Cross-section ranging from 0.03 mm² to 16 mm². The individual wires are subject to an exact positioning, yet without an additional core wire, which ensures an all-out uniform structure. Concentric strands are particularly appropriate for thin-gauge coating with high-grade isolation materials (extrusions). The technical qualities of a semi-concentric strand can be extremely well and accurately customized by combining several different alloy wires.

Contured fabric tapes, braided into a tube and then flat-rolled. Made from Cu-ETP1 and Cu-OF1, LEONI Histral® alloys upon request, in bare, tin-plated, nickel-plated or silver-plated, hard or soft annealed. Single-wire diameter ranging from Ø 0.05 mm to Ø 0.40 mm. Cross-section ranging from 25 mm² to 120 mm². Our flat-rolled fabric tapes are characterised by straight rectangular edges with a very high degree of dimensional accuracy and very close tolerances. There is an adjustable degree of compaction, with cross-section remaining unchanged, as well as an easy combination of different cross-sections laid on top of each other (modular system). Contured, braided copper tapes have an improved weldability in automated production processes for manufacturing of earthing straps, connectors or electrotechnical components.

Shielding braids consist of bobbin wires, located parallel, which have been braided into a tube. Manufactured from Cu-ETP1, Cu-OF1, LEONI-Histral®-alloys (upon request), aluminium and stainless steel, with coating in bare, tin-plated, nickel-plated or silver-plated, hard or soft annealed. Sinlge-wire diameter ranging from Ø 0.10 mm to Ø 0.40 mm. Cross-section ranging from 0.25 mm² bis 400 mm². Tubular shielding braid is smoothly expandable and has a very good shielding effect. The couverage can be determined precisely by changing the braiding angle. Suitable for electrical and mechanical shielding of wires, cables, cable bundles and cable harnesses.

Compact braided round copper flexibles made from Cu-ETP1 and Cu-OF1, LEONI Histral® alloys upon request, in bare, tin-plated, nickel-plated or silver-plated, in hard or soft annealed. Single-wire diameter ranging from Ø 0.05 mm to Ø 0.10 mm. Cross-section ranging from 0.047 mm² to 25 mm² (bigger cross-sections upon request). Round copper braids are characterised by a very high degree of dimensional accuracy and a very high Flex life. They are absolute free from twist and support an automatic further processing. Compact braided round copper flexibles are particularly suitable for carbon brushes industry, connection technology, switches or aviation industry.

Compact braided square and rectangular copper flexibles made from Cu-ETP1, Cu-OF1 and LEONI Histral® alloys (upon request) in bare, tin-plated or silver-plated. Single-wire diameter ranging from Ø 0.05 mm to Ø 0.20 mm. Cross-section ranging from 0.47 mm² to 50 mm² (further dimensions upon request). Square copper braids require less space in comparison to round copper braids with the same cross-section. There is a precise positioning owing to square or rectangular shape, which allows for failure-free and fully automated downstream manufacture. Squre or rectangular copper braids are characterised by very good Flex life, being absolute free from twist, a compact cutting surface, a very high degree of dimensional accuracy and a very long lifetime.
