This little motor has impressive torque and high RPMs. Reliable operation with quick movements of low loads. Stepper motors from igus® are a good supplement to drylin® linear axes. They are characterised by their cost-effectiveness, their precision and easy control. They work reliably under the most varied environmental conditions (depending on the selected class of protection IP). The igus® stepper motors can be connected to the most common motor controls using standardised electrical connection. Motors with stranded wires are the least expensive and the most common stepper motors. The connecting wires for this type exit from the housing and will be connected with a JST connector. They are usually installed in machines and equipment that have an additional housing or are used in clean environments.

For designs that require a stepper motor with directly integrated lead screw, drylin® E offers the ideal solution. The stand-alone versions with NEMA11 stepper motor (very small type) are available in a compact type with or without encoder. The lead screw is centred and in combination with the dryspin® high helix thread technology, the system has a long service life. The Metzner AM 1000 is a sensation among the tabletop units. The automatic cutting and stripping machine processes cables, strands and wires up to 9 mm diameter and 6mm² cable cross-section with a special cutting and pull-off force (optional 10 mm², depending on material). The presettings are conveniently made via the modern 12" touch panel, where the operator can define all processes. Thanks to the sensors for diameter and material recognition, the AM 1000 works extremely precisely. Another special feature is the tool-free replacement of guides and rollers. This means that the AM 1000 can be changed over in just one minute. With the extensive interface preparation, the machine can be optimally expanded with peripheral devices and adapts to all customer requirements. Plastic-coated steel cablestrands are cut to length using a special shear cut module and then stripped with the cutting module of the AM3500 without the wires "jumping open".Bare steel cable wires are transported by the modified AM 3500 directly to the special cutting machine, which is coupled between the AM 3500 and the material stacker and which cuts the material to length by a thermal process. Due to the special electric welding process used here, the individual wires do not twist up during cutting, and a smooth rope start and a smooth rope end without thickening are produced. Long steel cable wires/strands are placed in a tray after processing, while short pieces of material fall down a chute into a collecting container. With the high-performance solution developed by Metzner, the customer can process different types of material in different processes. Further advantages of the machinery are high precision, high quality, an increase in productivity and lower personnel costs.

Round copper wires made from Cu-ETP1 and Cu-OF1 in bare, tin-plated, nickel-plated, silver-plated or gold-plated, soft annealed. Single-wire diameter ranging from Ø 0.05 mm to Ø 0.51 mm. Number of wires used for strands: between 3 and 24 wires (subject to single-wire diameter).

Round copper wire made from Cu-ETP1, Cu-OF1 and LEONI Histral® alloys, in bare, tin-plated, nickel-plated and silver-plated, soft annealed. Single wire diameter ranging from Ø 0.05 mm to Ø 0.254 mm. The braids manufactured by these machines are used in cables and conductors geared towards electromagnetic shielding or protection against damage as well as serving as a reinforcement.
