The Elevation Line includes both DC spring-pressure single-disc brakes as well as spring-pressure double-disc brakes which comply with EN 81 (Safety Regulations Concerning the Design and Installation of Elevators). Integrated micro-switches allow for remote inquiry of the brake condition (armature position, wear, armature bearing). Owing to the patented safety concept, the otherwise mandatory testing of the dual-circuit braking system of the spring-pressure brake at the approval of the elevator system can be dropped. The brake can be used in places where short construction lengths with respective system components like motor, gear and brake must be realized. The Elevation Line is primarily used for elevators, but can be used wherever the brake must meet demanding safety requirements. Electromagnetic spring-pressure brakes build up the braking torque when the current is switched off.

The spring-applied brakes which are ideally suited for robotics is designed for robotics solutions and loads of up to appr. 20 kg, but it can also be used in other applications requiring small geometrical dimensions. With regard to their power density the slim single-disc brakes are flatter and lighter than the market standard, and due to their large inner diameter they are well suited for hollow-shaft drives. This makes them perfect for applications in lightweight robots with integrated drives. There is a growing demand for safety technology in order to avoid injuries by collisions, especially if the control technology or even the power supply fails. In this case electromagnetic brakes are usually the method of choice. As safety brakes they bring moving masses to a stop, keep loads in position and therefore prevent humans and material assets from being affected.

The GEDA 2 PK is a rack and pinion hoist with aluminium ladder segments. Its flexible system allows for the hoist to be installed to any kind of crane up to a standard height of 150 m (higher heights on request). This makes it a safe and quick transport system for crane conductors and maintenance personnel and materials. Its overspeed safety brake guarantees safe transport. Electrical safety devices prevent faulty operation. You can control the hoist from the control board in the car. (option: control to be changed to the outside or to the car). When the car is opened, a small ramp with lateral protection will open, too, forming a safe transition to the car together with the access enclosure. In order to put on the mast segments, the roof has to be opened. The lightweight ladder segments can be easily installed in a safe way. These are connected without bolts, with the help of a patented quick lock system.

The GEDA PH personnel and material hoist is now as a complete series available. Three standard versions have been developed up to now. All adjustable to desired specifications or conditions at construction site. Lifting height up to 400 m and three different lifting speeds and different car sizes are available. Both mast systems enable single and twin usage. You can choose between three standard control systems: stop next landing, single automatic or fully automatic. Different door systems in combination with the electrically and mechanically interlocked landing level gates round off the profile of the new PH range. The well-known engineered safety features like the over speed safety brake and overload protection or limit switches at the upper and lower level are of course part of the standard equipment. Of course the PH range is configurated according the new EN machinery directive 2006/42/EG or to national valid regulations.
