The reliability and safety of a sensor is extremely important, particularly in high-pressure applications such as water-jet cutting equipment and hydraulic circuits. The dynamic loading encountered in these applications requires the use of sensors that are specially adapted for high pressure ranges. It is exactly these tough requirements that are satisfied by the model number 8221 sensor. With dynamic pressures, for example, an unlimited number of measurements can be taken if the pressure lies within the range from 0 ... 70% full scale. This transducer can be used anywhere thanks to its small size. Designed to work without a measuring chamber (uses a flush front diaphragm instead), this transducer is ideal for any measurements where the material to be measured may leave problematic residues. The range of suitable applications is even greater thanks to a choice of screw-on or weld-on adapters. These convert the pressure-induced deflection of the diaphragm into a change in electrical resistance, which can be amplified, measured and processed by external electronic circuitry.

These differential pressure transmitters are available in a wide range of precision classes and therefore suitable for applications in the heating, air-conditioning and ventilation industries as well as sophisticated laboratory applications. An optional display allows measurement values to be read directly on-site in Pa, kPa or mmH2O. An optional time constant (up to 5s) allows the instrument to generate an attenuated output signal, even under fluctuating pressure conditions. The instrument is available with an ISO factory calibration or DAkkS calibration certificate (optional).

The DAIP Series incorporates a heated sensor tip, which limits the potential for sensor damage relating to the membrane, resulting from installation or removal of the pressure transmitter. Additionally, it offers the comfort of the DAI series in combination with temperature measurement, allowing for heater control. The Gneuss patented heated sensor tip allows the sensor to be easily removed from a “frozen” melt without any problems. The diaphragm is not damaged when the polymer contracts. The DAIL fulfils the requirements of EN 1114-1 for overpressure protection of extrusion lines and offers maximum comfort of operation. The auto-zero function enables calibration directly on the device or from the observation point/controller. On the output side, the melt pressure transmitter provides a switch output in addition to the analog signal which enables switching off the machine in case of overpressure according to EN 13849-1, PL=c.

The AD / BA 1000 absolute pressure transmitter is designed to display barometric pressure. At the heart of the unit is an evacuated measurement cell made from an elastic copper material.The deflection of the measurement cell due to atmospheric pressure is measured inductively without making contact. The transducer emits an electrical output signal proportional to the pressure. The device can be powered using a 24 VDC power supply or a variety of AC voltages. The instrument is available with an ISO factory calibration or DAkkS calibration certificate (optional).

The measuring range is scalable in the range from 10 .. 100 %. Two optional contact points allow the user to connect visual or audible alarms that are triggered any time values rise above or fall below specified limits. The transmitter can be configured easily via an USB interface (optional) with software. This can also be performed using a keyboard and display (optional). This pressure transmitter is particularly well suited for monitoring filters and pressures in HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) applications. DIP switches allow users to configure the output signal and switchable measurement ranges (optional). Settings provide an option for conversion to a root-extracted output signal (displayed as a % of the maximum output value). An internal button is also available for performing a zero-point correction or fine-tuning the end value. An optional display allows users to read the measured value directly on site in Pa or kPa. With an optional time constant (up to 10s), the instrument can produce an attenuated output signal, even under unstable pressure conditions. An optional two-wire version of the device is also available for reducing wiring complexity. In addition to simple wall-mounting with just 2 screws, the PS 17 is also suitable for mounting on top-hat rails.

Model number 8201 precision pressure sensors are robust, economical, and are available in standard measuring ranges. Their good technical specification and high reliability make them optimum for measuring pressure in all fields of machine construction, process technology, as well as in measurement and control technology. The pressure transducers are easy to handle and immune to shock loads and vibrations as they are designed without moving parts. All pressure transducers without an internal amplifier have a standardized output signal of 1.0 mV/V.
