NORIMOS 4 – The High Performance PLC-based Alarm, Monitoring and Control System The N4 is our alarm, monitoring and control system (AMCS) for highest demands in operating comfort, usability, flexibility and system availability and is based on our NORISYS 4 open automation platform. It is used to monitor and control ship technology, such as engines and other auxiliary systems. The N4 is a PLC (IEC 61131) based AMCS with decentrally placed subsystems. Each subsystem is operating independently with a high performance I/O CPU master and its slave units and is connected to the other subsystems. The system is based on extremely robust components, can be used flexibly and furthermore, it can be extended with a comprehensive package of standard functions on request: whether as a simple data acquisition system, alarm and monitoring system, with additional control functions for pumps, valves and fans, or even fuel level measurement or power management.

The N3500 (NORIMOS 3500) is our cost-efficient alarm, monitoring and control system for engines and auxiliary systems. The system is based on two central, redundant PC master stations. They collect and monitor the measurement data from the connected I/O modules. With up to 9,000 I/Os, a matching alarm extension system for accommodation and a monitoring display for the bridge, the system can be easily extended and adapted to any application. The N3500 is based on robust components and can be used flexibly: from simple data acquisition systems up to complex alarm and monitoring systems with integrated control functions for pumps, valves and fans. The system is approved by all conventional shipbuilding classification societies (ABS, BV, CCS, DNV-GL) and thus, is the ideal companion for all aspects of the monitoring and control of shipboard propulsion systems.

During printing and coating processes, so-called ink mist or particle mist arise in the outlet of doubleroll systems. This unwanted particle deposit results in lower product quality, high maintenance costs, increased ink consumption and the contamination of the environment. The formation of ink mist is very noticeable and annoying, particularly during coating and printing processes on substrates with non-absorbent surfaces (films, metalized substrates or composite films). A patented double-row DC plasma electrode is used to prevent this ink mist. This plasma electrode acts separately on both particle streams and ensures an optimal particle deposit. The electrode will be connected to the high voltage generator HSG61. The MISTING TACKER system is currently used for printing on metalized films and in silicone coating units (Wifag-Polytype).

Pick-to-light systems control and monitor commissioning, configuration and installation processes. For example, the light screen located in front of a picking bin captures the hand of the operator and reports removal back to the control. Then job lights indicate in which bin the operator has to reach next. Pick-to-light solutions are available in various versions, also for direct mounting on picking bins.

Complete optical packaging inspection Vision inspection system SealSecure checks the seal and seams on the package, labels and information on the top and bottom or the sides of the products. The stand-alone vision inspection device detects non-conforming packages prior to packaging and rejects them, if there are product, package discrepancies or deviations. The staff are then immediately warned visually and audibly in order to be able to intervene and rectify the problem. Efficient control of packaging and label content in labeling lines The Bizerba LabelSecure vision inspection system automatically checks label position and texts. Bizerba LabelSecure can be integrated in conveyor lines with dynamic checkweighers. Thereby offering a high level of flexibility and adaptability to existing systems. Used with an inline dynamic checkweigher the system will add another level of protection on your production line. Consider the Dynamic checkweigher CWEmaxx. The system will checkweigh and reject any over filled and under filled packages. In addition, the vision inspection system performance is impressive, automatic control of label position, texts and film colour. The end-of-line X-ray inspection system offers maximum safety. By using X-ray technology the XRE-D detects contaminated, damaged and defective products and packagings. Besides metallic and non-metallic foreign objects it detects missing, defective or misshaped products as well as overweight or underweight. Thanks to an efficient quick conveyor belt change system the belt can be changed within two minutes. The product inspection system XRE-D X-ray inspection system detects all foreign objects, which due to their density, chemical components or mechanical dimensions absorb X-rays at a higher or lower degree than the surrounding product. Transmission of beta rays The weight monitoring and control system measures the weight continuously, without contact, destruction-free and on moving product. The measurement is based on the attenuation of rays from a radioactive isotope through the substrate located in the measuring gap. TIM thermal imaging cameras are designed for non-contact measurement of surface temperatures from -20 °C to 1900 °C. They enable efficient monitoring and control of temperature-critical processes both with low temperatures (e.g. in cooling chains) and with very high temperatures (e.g. in glass and metal processing). Their high thermal sensitivity makes these infrared cameras ideally suitable for precise and dynamic tasks. Different performance classes enable a suitable model to be selected for every application.
