The wireSENSOR mechanics from Micro-Epsilon are designed for mounting of incremental and absolute encoders. In the serial arrangement, a vertically aligned linear drive shaft (double-acting linear cylinder) is mounted on the vertically aligned rotary drive shaft (swivel motor), i.e. the piston rod of the cylinder and the output shaft of the swivel motor are mechanically coupled via a movable shaft-hub connection. The pallet holder is lifted by the piston rod, which also serves as a bearing for the pallet holder and safely absorbs all the forces generated during asymmetrical loading. Slip rings provide the basis for rotating current transfer and all its demanding applications. Which challenges can we meet for you? In combination with our slip rings, brush holders fitted with carbon brushes ensure that the current to be transferred is collected. Thanks to their increased vibration resistance, solid-cast slip rings can withstand high mechanical and electrical loads. These are available from MACK in many different versions, many of which are even available from stock.

DEWALT’s lead design engineer for drills was tasked with designing a high power right angle drill that is lightweight, compact, and portable. The goal with the design was to maximize performance while minimizing the size of the tool. The design would incorporate a mechanical clutch built to limit maximum torque output to 70 ft-lbs. Absent the clutch, with the huge gear reduction of 75:1, the drill would be capable of producing a lock rotor torque at the spindle of 175 ft-lbs, transmitted directly to the operator of the tool. It was determined early on that the clutching thrust required in the space available could only be achieved by a Disc Spring design. Compared to conventional coil springs, Disc Springs offer a higher load capacity in less space. Additionally, longevity and reliability is a high measure of quality for professional tools used on a daily basis. The life and performance warranty of the tool was reliant on the Disc Spring design. The V shape of the shaft support is the result of purposeful internal development work at Föhrenbach. The most important advantage comes from having the greatest possible distance between the shafts and above all in the lay-out of the four ball-bearing housings whose loadbearing rows of balls are located underneath the shaft. The unitized, modular type like design realized with these devices enables to cover a wide range of application specific solutions. Manufactured in standard widths from 75 to 425 mm and in lenghts of up to 4000 mm, the products are designed to provide solutions that allow to cover almost all handling and mounting tasks that need to be met. An experience of long standing assures for competent solutions.

The highest accuracy class “Ultra-Precision plus” impresses with an accuracy of 0.0005 mm, thus 0.5 µm. Due to the fact that the control unit of the Föhrenbach slides is compatible with the interfaces of almost all measuring systems, this extraordinary repeatability does not depend on a particular system or a specific provider. Föhrenbach profiled guide slides with integrated linear motor are available in the series PFL (with bellows covers) and PCL (with sheet metal covers). For both series three sizes are available. We developed three resp. two linear motors of different force.
