Merecs develops individual test systems for heat pumps, gas, fluid and water systems. Our engineers & fitters for electronics, installation technology and mechanics build the systems completely from one source at our location in Steinfurt. The systems are then delivered and commissioned at home and abroad. We are experienced in test system development for leakage testing, life time testing and end-of-line test stands in the field of gas & hydrogen technology. We also have a network of suppliers and partners who provide key components for leakage measurement, piping, sealing and instrumentation. As a general contractor and integrator, Merecs Engineering can individually design, assemble and commission the test system at our customers' sites.

The system is a self-sufficient unit and is made of a solid welded frame, contains media preparation, a hydraulic unit, and electrical engineering. The pressure test bench has a secure test chamber for burst pressure and hydrostatic pressure tests and, optionally, a climatic chamber for pressure tests with environmental simulation. Depending on the option selected, pressure change tests up to 2,000 bar and 10 Hz can be generated. With the test circuit for hydrostatic and burst pressure tests, pressure ramps up to 3,000 bar can be generated. It is operated on a support arm PC. The BCP-H2 model is manufactured by Bluesens, and is a hydrogen analyzer that is easy to integrate directly into the gas lines. It has a cost effective and robust design, which has an in-situ gas analysis. The unit has a direct integration in gas pipes, and has installation of additional gas pipes is not necessary. It has a fast installation due to its standard connection with low maintenance costs. It can be utilized in wide variety of applications including chemical industry, biogas production and agriculture.

The GM 5 from Schütz Messtechnik always offers the highest accuracy of results even with changing tasks, since it can be adjusted to the different measuring tasks and environments. The device monitors the intake volume flow and can then adapt to the changed measuring environment and set, monitor and adjust the volume flow. In addition to reliable measurement results, optimal stability and constant response times are achieved. The menu navigation in connection with the automatic measuring range selection makes the GM 5 easy and safe to use by any user at any time. All that is required for commissioning is the selection of a task in the main menu and the measuring device independently sets the sensor selection, measuring range, pump output and alarm message according to specified specifications.

The industrial pressure transmitter DMP 336 was especially developed for hydrogen applications and can also be used with other technical gases (e.g. oxygen). This is achieved by using an alloy based on 316L which prevents hydrogen embrittlement of the media-wetted parts. Level of hydrocarbon and particle contamination are significantly reduced by special treatment during production and cleaning. The H2Smart™ is an integrated sampling system designed to measure hydrogen content with high accuracy in nitriding and nitrocarburizing atmospheres and to calculate the parameters necessary for process control. Its unique measuring cell design and advanced electronics eliminate the need for a reference gas cell, thus simplifying the installation and usage. Moreover, the measuring cell is maintained at a set temperature to protect the system from condensation and contamination during nitrocarburizing and post oxidation processes. An integrated sampling pump with variable output insures reliable flow through the measuring cell. The sampling flow is continuously measured via an integrated mass flow meter, and, if necessary, the flow is adjusted by changing the pump output. In this manner, the closed-loop flow control assures reliable H2 measurement and thus accurate nitriding and nitrocarburizing control.

The SGS™ Single-Gas Sensor is an integrated thermal conductivity sampling system designed to measure the concentration of a gas sample in binary or quasi-binary mixtures. Ideal for measuring hydrogen (hydrogen sensor) content or dissociation level with high accuracy in nitriding and nitrocarburizing atmospheres, the SGS™ is also capable of calculating KN and KC for controlled nitriding and nitrocarburizing.

Fuel cells can be integrated into our modular and scaleable H2 Core systems and complete them in case of the easy and reliably conversion of the produced hydrogen back into electricity. They are available in several power output levels.

The Water Purification System is a osmotic module with resin filters which can provide the required water quality.

Every Enapter Electrolyser is capable to produce up to 0.5 Nm³/h of hydrogen. The output volume of every electrolyser can be set between 60% and 100%. The HydroCab combines up to 5 modules to a single plug and play module. An optional Dryer module can increase the purity from 99.9% to 99.999%. The optional Water Purification System (WPS) can provide the needed water with the quality of < 20 µS/cm. A Water Tank Module (WTM) can be installed and stores 38 l of deionized water. It is equipped with a pump which provides the needed supply pressure or the electrolyser modules. The WTM takes the space of one electrolyser and is needed when no direct water supply can be provided. Also it is recommended when more than one cabinet will be installed parallel.

The Dryer is a hybrid temperature/pressure swing adsorption system which is easily to integrate in one of our H2 Core HydroCab or Cluster system. By using the dryer DRY 2.1, the hydrogen purity can even be increased to 99.999%.
